Only one test trial, using nothing but crappy dna (5 ikopi samples).

one box for phys/prow/mental. 1% 1% 0% starting out. Didn't budge when multiple points were poured through them as a master be. It looks like the fears were exactly right, and they treat DNA numbers (which are fixed by CL) as 'resource attributes' comparable to the ones people pull out of the ground (which range from 1-1000, change when the resource respawns, and when they're capped below 100 due to devs requiring specific attributes on specific resource types, they modified the schematic to give them a boost back to where they wanted).

So someone making a stim has a wide, wide choice of organic and inorganic, and can get near 1000 quality resources in key attributes for -stim As-.
If you're trying to make a LOW CL pet, you're restricted to what numbers come on low CL critters (like, in the 50-100 range, or even lower), which means you'd have to burn all your points to get even one box full. Even if you're making HIGH CL pets, since we're capped at CL70, and mutant rancor dna samples (the strongest we're able to sample), don't do 1000s across the board for stats (they get what, up to high 700s?), even our masterwork product is capped by this new system into much less than it was (and there's no way to use those 'acceptable but not great' numbers to make a low CL creature, since CL is directly tied to those numbers which are directly tied to the results).

End result appears to be: low end creatures get much crappier. High end creatures decline anyway. Only improvement? The part we keep, the lowered critfail rate by skill. THAT is good and welcome, the rest is crap. They needed to be aware that not everything had a stat range of 1-1000, and that ALL BE dna is capped on those numbers without those behind-the-scenes schematic adjustments (that, in our case, wouldn't be feasible anyway since the template is the part that counts, the skins are just skins).

Hi all,

I'm currently at work and had a few questions. I am aware that tomorrow the crafting changes return to what they were before the patch. However, I am wondering what everyone thinks of the crafting change that went into effect today for clones. Has anyone played around with it for fun? What were your results? How did it effect the animals? How about armor? How many more points did it take to get that? Any feedback you would have to share would be great.

Thanks in advance.
