I understan as a novice that only has 0110 I will not be able to make many good things at all. but... Does anyone have any recipes? Any low level ones so I could at least make above lvl 5's with my own dna? or is this possible at my level... Well this is just a thought...

It's actually good to see someone interested in trying pets at this level. You'll learn a lot by reading the forum and faq here, but you also will learn a good bit by doing, and it is never too soon to start.

Spineflap Handmaidens are non agressive, though they are often on the edge of a lair of other agressives, and the DNA has decent energy and kinetic resists, and a special attack (intimidate I believe) and ranged. Just playing with that for DNA will let you learn a good bit about what effects you get from what slots. Spineflap solder in 3 and 4, and Handmaiden in 1,2,and 5 will make a quite decent CL 12 or so with some good stats for the level, and will be the start for a good CL 10 second generation, so you can get the idea of resampling and mixing, and experimenting to a point without going over the target.

Faamba and Bolle Bols on Naboo are great exp for DNA sampling, non agressive, and not too fast, so a 'bike sample macro" will work well with them. (hotkey a macro like /dismount; /pause 1; /sampleDNA; /pause 2; /tar speed; (for a speederbike or a swoop, use /tar lands; for a landspeeder), /pause 1; /mount. Target the mob, hit the hotkey, you are back on the bike and ready to run if you get aggro before the sample is taken)
Thier DNA will let you mix for resists and such, and see again where different stats fit best.

You can make "furniture" pets to sell to architects that make furniture for houses to use in their decorating with any type of DNA at all, so that may be something worth trying for the experience.

Also, remember that you get User experience (uxp) if another BE uses your template to make a creature. Trade templates whenever you can and you will get a reasonable portion of the "make" experience as a bonus when the other BE uses the template in a creature.

There's a number of good recipes here that can help make CL 10 pets, but many of them rely on several very low level samples to bring down the stats of one or two higher level samples, so they may not be as "usable" as you might hope at a low level in BE. Sampling creatures like Kaadu, ikopi and their counterparts on other planets is still good exp, and will provide a wide range of things to use to experiment and learn.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell

Ok, to re-sample from a clone, after you make the creature into a "skin" (whatever type you want the creature to be i.e. Kaadu ar bearded jax etc...) Open your inventory and right click on the animal, it will bring up a menu that includes the option to sample dna, this is calles "second generation" because it is dna that is coming from a first, into a second generation. When I say AA Dna I am refering to the quality being "Above Average" when I said BPR I am abbreviating the creature's name, it is a Bol Pack Runner (found on dantooine) And the Bol is just a regular Bol (they can be found in the same lair most of the time) HAM is the Health, Action, and Mind of the creature, when I said "one point" into mental etc.. I meant put one point of your experimentation into that attribute. If you have any other questions feel free to ask , and myself or another Moe knowledgable BIo-Engineer could help you out.

Second generation pets are just that; one you make from pets (actually untamed "deeds") that you have made from 'wild sampled' DNA (First Generation). Since the stats you get sampling a "deed" are a percentage of what the template was that made it, (something like 50-60% at an offhand guess), resampling lets you lower the main stats while keeping resists and special attacks.

Second or higher generation pets are something you will be doing a lot of, so it is worth trying out now, even though it is less profitable at a low success rate. What you will learn by making a template, creating a gnort or jax with it, then sampling it to get DNA with stats closer to your target level will become a very handy tool in your crafting kit as you progress.

I hope this makes it a little clearer.
