While someone is eating your pebbles that will free you up so you can have time to enlighten us on how to make a valid pet; on what the research data is; on what psychological does, etc.

Don't fret Grantrobillard. Most people are suffering from post patch frustration. The new pet check hit us hard and most of us didn't see it coming because our correspondent told us it wasn't.
There are a number of threads regarding the DNA stats.
Here is a very quick down and dirty for you:
box 1 box 2
box 3 box 4
box 5
first two stats go in box 1, second two box 2, third two box 3....you get the idea
first box controls Health
second controls Action
third Mind
A fortitude above 500 will give you armor.
You will have to experiment to figure out the resists and specials. Bio-engineering is not cookie cutter. The DNA interacts with one another. That's something you can only learn by doing. Make sure you take notes.

The FAQ is very helpful for knowing where to put what dna samples too.
Like..if you wanted a super creatures, you would not put gnort, gnort, mutant rancor, mutant rancor, gnort. It explains, for instance, that the physique slot matters 40% toward health, agression, resists.
this can help you in making a creature you have a level higher, or a level lower (like..mutant rancor, mutant rancor, prowling gurreck prowling gurreck, mutant rancor would give you a creature lower than 75 with great kinetic and energy resists..with a CL somewhere between mutant rancor and gurreck). Can also help to know that NOT experimenting in an area is the way to go to get lower levels as well.
