In the interests of...ahem...balance...I'm asking this question on both BE and CH forums
.
I'm currently TKM (which I'm keeping), and getting tired of the Commando holo grind so thought I'd turn my attention to one of the pet-related professions as they've always looked like fun. Thing is, I'm unsure as to which to try. What I'm after is the fun factor...making money isn't a big issue as my combat skills mean I can solo 15k missions all day long if I need moolah. I really enjoy PvE & I like the idea of having another goal out there in the wilds other than just spanking creatures. So...is the BE profession FUN? Or should I take on the CH profession instead? Cheers!
PS...not trolling honest

Do you want to make guns, or hunt with them?
BE is fun, in a very different way from CH, and I am a master in both so I can compare them quite well.
CH means you use the pets, and learn the tactics to get the most from using them. BE is a puzzle game - you go out and risk your neck getting the DNA samples, then try to second guess what the results of this or that combination will be when combined and used to create a creature.
BE is infinitely more complex, but the "excitement" factor is fear when sampling, surprise when finding something rare and good to sample, and seeing the results of all that work when you make a magnificent creature.
CH is more about PvE and enjoying the hunt, a bit more like you seem to do now.
If you like what you currently do, go CH. If you are looking for something VERY different, try BE.

Thanks Akelan. Really wish I could have all three (TKM, CH & BE)! I hadn't really considered that, unless I also had CH skills, I wouldn't be able to enjoy my creation...seems a shame really. I enjoy the hunting aspect loads, so until I tire of that I might give CH a go I think.
