So I am at 3, 3, 1, 4 in BE and struggling, and I mean struggling with DNA sampling.

I am basically finding a location out of the way with Noob monsters to sample, whilst grinding the suppliment. Knocking my mind down, grind till it's back, knocking my mind, grind, mind, grind.... sure you get the point.

Anyone have any suggestions how to raise sampling so it's not as boring as sitting in a cantina afk ?

Any help appreciated.

I have tried to look through some of the numerous posts, even heard mention of a macro for sampling, and saw a challange list, but like many people, I don't look at names... if it's an animal... I kill it!

Is there a DNA sampling post saying dna 1, sample (a) (b) (c) (d) but for best results.... sample (e), list ?

Being a 1 myself in sampling, umm, results may vary. The biggest help I've found is to take a crate of fishak along with you. The mind boost can get you a few samples in a row and it doesn't have the letdown that muoun gold has. I enjoy doing it since it's fun to see just what you can get sometimes.

The better the CL the better the XP and I really can't say I've seen a relationship between difficulty and number of attempts; though I imagine something like that exists somewhere.

Further hints...

Don't rely solely upon muon or fishak. Personally, I'd avoid muon altogether. Just what you don't need is a puking fit as you're trying to escape the voritor that's just aggroed you during sampling.

I use a combination of fishak and glucose pate. The pate bumps both Mind and Focus, making each sample cost less.

For sampling, I recommend fambaas. You can usually find them in the swamps west of Keren. They provide about 400 xp per sample. If you sample one, then another, then another, and keep cycling, you can take a few samples without an aggro. If you take samples from the same critter, wait 30 seconds or so. This'll reduce the chance of an aggro. Also, don't sample armed. Sample under mask scent, if you have it, and under peace. It seems to help, somewhat.

When you've reached your Sampling IV box, hit Dathomir. Here you can sample brackasets (they don't deathblow) and nucuous kamuriths (I don't remember whether they deathblow or now). NKs give around 600 xp per sample. I spent a weekend on Dath, filling my L4 box.

This is what I recommend:

Sampling 1 and 2, buy crates of muon gold and sample the heck out of newbie creatures, just sample as fast as you can find them.

During the muon gold downtime, craft your samples into dna templates and creatures for crafting exp.

For sampling 3 and 4 its hard to beat sharnaffs on Corellia. You get ~300xp per regular sharnaff and ~400 for bull sharnaffs. You can get sharnaff missions from mission terminals. Once again, use muon gold to maximize your sampling time, then during the muon down time use your dna samples to make creatures.

I did sampling 1-4 in 4 days using this method.

I got the majority of my sampling xp on dant... and at novice you can make some decent non CH pets with LPB, pikets or HP, VD or Bols and HPs or LPB's... I went from novice to sampling 2 in about a week, week and a half of running missions from dant.
