I am at 1/1/4/2. I found the DNA sampling to be the most enjoyable. I figure you guys are trying to sample the highest value targets you can find, right?

Well.. go back down and hit the wild nuna spawns around theed, moenia or wherever. Nuna spawns can have 6-8 nunas running around and the reg nunas give 129 xp.

now.. that doesn;t seem like a lot, but if you look at the time per XP.. you fail a lot less sampling little stuff and there are more of them. And besides.. you don't have to run away if they aggro. Kill the bugger and sample the next one. They aren;t social.

I spent more time sitting and crafting trash pets to gain crafting XP and cleaning out my inventory than anythnig else.

So back down to high-critter-count wild spawns.

Guamalas are fun too, but again.. I have to run from them if they aggro, so I got more XP per hour doing nunas. Serious.

So.. hurry up and grind your master BE so you can drop it and go to the next forum.

Good luck. Bye

I havnt"grinded" any profession in quite along timenow, seen as ive been setting up my architect business and going slowly upbio eng to hopefully make decent pets and some nice be clothes......

.......just because i have mastered 15 does not make me a grinder. Ive kept each of the profs ive mastered for atleast 2 weeks (bah image designer) in which time i PvP to the full with that prof.

and i dont grind my profs, i take my time as i enjoy going up differnt profs and getting new skills.

Here is what I did. I pretty much grinded the proff until Master. Now I'm ejoying it. Check out the BE FAQ. Make a sampling macro up. Head to the big lawn just south of Theed. AFK'ing didn't work for me, I simply let my charactor do it's thing with minimal supervision. I got thru DNA I & II like this. Then DNA III & IV I sampled pickets on Dant. 329XP per usually. I also pull them as missions and got about 9K for each. Good luck.

Sample the same stuff you were sampling to get 1. Once you get sampling 2 head to dantooine and sample anything you can find.

Even after I got DNA Sampling II and went to Dantooine to do more, I found that in the long run I made better xp over time doing lower con critters like Lesser Plains Bols than by doing the higher level ones. Even though the xp per sample was lower, I had more successful samples from a given number of attempts, and I saved a LOT of time by not running for miles and then coming back or by recovering from deaths or incaps. If a Lesser Plains Bol turned aggro, I just led it away from the group a bit, then killed it in a few sword hits, then got back to work. Aggro from a big Piket often meant a good ten minute interval (of either fleeing and returning, or of combat, incap, recovery) before I resumed sampling. If you've already mastered some elite combat profession, that may not be an issue, but I was at about 0-1-1-0 in Swordsman at the time.
