Whats the use of making +15 and higher clothing tissues. every things maxes at +25, take 2 - 6 identical tissues to put them in some specific clothing. 3 +9's will give you +27 (which caps at 25) i thought about this as i made some scent nutrizlisers (sp) for a Dna Sampeling set of clothing. So why bust your arse to get the indgreaiants that will make a 15+ tissue? because you can put it in 2 pieces of clothing to get your +25 insted of 3?

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Most people buy 2 pieces of clothing with the same bonus,to get the +25 cap. Anything over that is overkill... that's why I charge the same for +13 tissues as I do for +15 tissues. Tailors regularly ask me to make +13 tissues, especially Active Biosensors, for their items that can hold 2 tissues (i.e. the +25 Grand Healer's Robe)... so I figured, hey, they charge an arm and a leg for those, I might as well get a piece.

A couple of tailors did inform me, however, that they sell a lot of the +15/+16/+17 items to people wanting bonuses on accessory clothing, such as belts, bandoliers, etc., to snag a bonus or two when wearing full armor... mainly for PvP, I assume.

tell them leather trimed shirts, they require 6 identical tissues and have a x2 effect i.e. 6 +13's give you a +26 and can be worn under any armor

There are 2 types of tailoring tissues.

Tissues that go in Synthetic Cloth and those that go in Reinforced Fiber Panels.

Tissues that go in Synth can be doubled up in a single item and hit the +25 cap with 2 stacks of +13 tissues.

HOWEVER

Tissues that go in Reinforced Fiber Panels CANNOT be doubled up in a single item - therefore they ARE worth trying to make as good as possible.

I used to kind of be in the "what is the point?" camp as well, as both a tailor and a BE, but I've since changed my tune. Here is why:

The sad fact is that a very large percentage of people who want the "combat" bonuses (i.e. the ones that go into only RFP and can't be doubled in a single piece of clothing) are people that wear full sets of armor. That means as a tailor your *only* opportunity to sell them combat-bonus modded clothing is to sell them shirts and bandoliers (but few want bandoliers). Therefore the value of the tissue is of the utmost importance to these folks.

The second reason is more psychological. Tailors like having clothing with high bonuses. It can be a point of pride and a differentiator between them and their competition. It just looks a whole lot better to a customer to look inside a vendor and see +17, +16, +18, etc. rather than +13, +13 etc. And also on the customer side you always run into the same thing. When you explain the +25 cap to a customer, and give them an option of 2 +15 items or 2 +13 items, they always chose the +15 items even when they are more expensive.
