Well the bad news is, you cannot make pets in a factory so while you can make them into a scheme that sits in your datapad, they cannot be used like that.

What you want to do next time, is make a prototype. That will come out as a pet deed, in your inventory, which you then radial dial and select 'Tame'. (Or you can resample it in deed form- or put on your vendor).

The reason you cannot make pets in a factory is because every piece of DNA and every Genetic Template is unique.

Yes, that's EXACTLY what you have to do. I'm not a BE anymore, so I don't know the particulars of what matters, but write everything you can down until you know.

...has mastered the Pilot profession

Well to start with, write down every single stat for every single slot until you get something that makes a good recipe and then you have to sort of guess b/c it is never exactly the same twice. It helps that DNA from the same species ofcreature and level have the same stats within a variation (tosee as much as 100 points variation between animals of the same levels and species was common pre-CU) and that the DNA is labelled with the name of the creature you took it from.

Having said that ... I think you can sort of 'ballpark' figure it now b/c you don't have the complication of trying to get special attacks to stick (sob ) and the resistances we used to have. It's very very simple now so eye-balling it really ought to be good enough. And remembering where you got that high hardiness DNA from

I still see a wide range of variation on stats from the same mob...up to about 250 points depending on quality of the sample. VHQ and HQ has a very large spread.
