Hi - I am a MBE/MCH Ranger 0030 and I think that we will not be able to meet / beat the lvl 22 female narglatches...they have 21k ham total, and I dont think after going out and trying and trying to put something together you can beat them.

Has anyone else had any luck?

Just curious as my MCH datapad is now a graveyard...and my best pets are the old recepie lvl10 guys with 10k ham that converted into lvl 54 but with 10k health. Beats my rancors that I have tamed but sad in a way.

Any advice or comments, perhaps after 10 hours of trying samples from endor, dat and dathomir, I am stumped.

Yeah, dunno. All combinations of pre-CU DNA, post-CU DNA, and pre-CU deeds resampled DNA can't touch those stats at that level.

I put a pet together withall female narglatch dna just to compare, this is the pet I made without any experimentation:

CL30

health 7483

health regen 16

armor 138

to-hit 36

defence value 80

state resist 23.3%

critical hit 0.64%

critical save 0.21%

aggro bonus 0.65%

damage 37-218

Perhaps improvements can be made as we learn the new system but on theface of it the elite status is giving a huge boost we currently can't match.

I decided to do some testing of this on my CL65 BE kimo (6616 health, 4218 armor, 95-383 damage) versus using 3 female narglatches. Both being grouped with me. Here's something interesting....the BE kimo hit 2x faster than wild. So he had more firepower than 2 narglatches. He took a bitless damage from the armor. He healed faster due to higher regen. It was laughable taking on only 1 mob at a time with it going down only about 20-30% damage. So, making the high end pets, I believe is the market. The CL65 was able to hold aggro nicely for me, the 3 narglatches gave me a tougher time (this is using just basic shot with a adv laser rifle). I'm about to try a CL48 with a narglatch combo. So might be 2 types that a CH might want. I'm feeling more positive about what we have to offer the CH community though.

And this kimo isn't even the best we can do....

Looking at the combat spam,it wasn't quite2 to 1, pretty close tho.

First battle, it swung 10 times. Kimo swung 18 times.

Second battle, it swung 13 times. Kimo swung 23 times.

Third battle, it swung 9 times. Kimo swung 17 times.

So damage was about 159x2 for kimo and 130x3 for narglatches. Damage to them 185 versus 255. I'm postive with some better combos for a CL70 that we can outdo the narglatchs.

One last note here....the holding aggro with this pet is a HUGE seller. Wild hit about 2x faster than I shoot. And my pet hits about 2x faster than wild. So that 150+ damage comes to 600+ which I am now allowed to hit for without drawing aggro. I do this with narglatches and it's on me like a bat out of hell. I gotta use damage reducing attacks if I want to help. So if the wildcreature hits for 200, that's 400 to my 1200+ (600 from me and 150+ x 4 from it), with narglatches it was more like ((130x3=390) x 2) ~800 + my 250 -> ~1050. So when you add yourself and want the pets to tank,BE petscan outdamage narglatches. I've switched to not using narglatches and lovin it.

Although I still thinka CL48 when full grown will combo nicely with a narglatch. Not sure yet if it'll outdamage my basic attack yet to hold aggro tho. Might havta downgrade my weapon.

I agree that it will be tough to beat the female narglatch trio. However, I have faith that BEs will be able to come with some interesting pets that have some good niches to fill. One that comes to mind is if you can make a single high level pet that has a combat effectiveness (e.g. DPS and health) near that of the trio then there will be times when I'll want to pull just that pet out because of the 15 second timer per pet. As it stands now, my high level (CL 60+ such as the giant crystal snake) can barely compete with the narglatches individually no less comparing them as a trio.

Also, I'm quite hopeful that having specials added back (which has been promised) will allow interesting pet combos and open up the market for BE pets.

After having a bit more stuff on the weekend, including participating in phase 4 at the village, I'm starting to feelalmost like the narglatches are a waste of space in my datapad.

They don't hold aggro worth crap.

They take up 3 spots in a group.

They get damaged easily and have lower regen.

Eventually, more will see that narglatches are not the best. I might even make3 CL23s that can outdamage them.
