Thread: Tensile Resist Pre/Post CU

IIRC, Tensile resist before the CU was +melee defense +Stun resist. Post CU, it changed to +melee/ranged defense.

I have a couple of questions. Are the components/resource requirements still the same? I only ask this because, on kauri at least, the price seems to have jumped.
  • For example, pre-CU I could find crates of 25 (+4 melee, +19 Stun) for about 90-110k.
  • Early CU, I found them for the same (+16 melee/ranged def).. 90-110k
  • This past week, everyone on my server seems to have split up their crates and are selling them for 200k for a crate of 5. That's 40k per tissue. (again, +16 melee/ranged def.)

Is this a case of trying to meet demand, or did something else change -- like increased difficulty with resource requirements/components?

Maybe it's just my server, but I was curious what BE's are selling their tissues for on their servers.

The tensile resistance now take milk, and the fear release takes egg so those tissues have gotten a lot more expensive to make. I do feel that 200k for a 5 crate is a bit harsh though! Current Chimaera seems to be about 2-250 for a 25crate.

Two things happened. Milk replaced (what was it, hide?) as an ingredient, and thecap got changed on this tissue. The cap is now +18 for that tissue instead of +20. Also since it was relatively easy to find ~1000 OQ hide, it was a lot easier to approach the +20 cap then it is now to approach the +18 cap (because 3 values on milk matter vs just 1 for hide).

To make a +16 tensile resistance tissue, you pretty much need "veteran resource deed" quality stuff. I posted a thread on this here. +14 or +15 tensile resistance can be made a lot more easily, but you still need great quality resources even to make that.

You my advice is... don't take +16 tissues for granted! They are exceptional and you may not seem them again. I refused to sell any of the batch that I made, and when customers ask for tensile resistance in clothing they get +15 generally unless they are a friend or a good repeat customer

Ah, thanks for the reply..

That makes sense, especially considering how milk isn't exactly fun to harvest.. and since stats count from the milk, that would raise the price up.

The price you mentioned sounds reasonable.. But yeah, I was having a hard time figuring out why a crate of 5 would go for 200k.
