Hi guys,

I'm a MCH, Master Ranger on Gorath, and I'd like some advice please on those wonderful pets you guys whip up.

I bought a BE Gurreck last night with pretty decent stats, health was 12k action was 11k. Well first of all after taming it would'nt let me train it, just refused to listen to commands, didn't even get the pet doesn't understand thing. Guy who sold it to me kindly offered to give me a new one and/or make me a better one as he didn't make these but was just selling them off. Well, I decided to log off and back on first to save his time and resources if it was just a system updating issue.

Logged back in and lo and behold the little blighter would listen to me so no need for a new pet, thanks for offering though, very decent of you ( sorry can't remember name ).

My question is, it has a pet level of 0 ? Is this a bugged pet? I'm sure I saw something that pets weren't supposed to be of that level but not being a BE i'm not sure.

Your advice/comments would be great.

Just give it time to grow. All the nonCH pets I make myself are CL0 until fully grown, at which they shootup to their full CL.

Thanks for the reply, which poses another question, ( pardon my ignorance ) did I buy a non ch pet? How do I know which is which?

No, you didn't buy a non-CH pet, you bought a pre-patch gurreck. Pets made before the BE revamp patch will remain at CL 0 or CL 1 eternally when tamed. Their stats will increase but their CL won't. I'd say it's probably fine to use the pet as long as you take into consideration it's CL, and manually impose the CL restriction on yourself. So when it has full stats, restrict yourself to having only 20 more CLs out along with it, and then nobody can accuse you of exploiting.

EEEK! Exploiting? Mmmh I don't like the sound of that, nor the possiblity that at some future point the pet will become as useful as a Durny.

So in essence, although it has higher stats than my Rhoa Kwi Guardian which is CL 45 it will always be CL 0 or 1? Does that also mean it is no matchagainst higher creatures? My guardian is a tough little bugger, that's what I was looking for in a cat.

Thanks for the info guys, more to think about now.

If the current CL is 0 that doesn't always mean its an exploited pet. Just check the number in the parethases in your datapad to see how big it will be when it grows up. If that says 0 or 1 in the parenthases then its a bugged pet.

This is with all Pets that were deeds after the BE patch. The developers are aware of this issue. If it is a Gurreck then it is actually a CL50 Pet and stats will reflect that. It will also handle based on those stats. They will probably fix this and at that time it will probably go to the CL50 status. So the only issue you may see is if you can not control the CL50 Pet.

Actually Cocomono, that just applies to non-CH pets that are lower than CL 10.The stats he gave, along with him stating he's a Master CH lead me to believe it's not a non-CH pet. As for the rhoa kwi guardian, those guys aren't great tanks in my opinion. They don't have the max kinetic resist (isn't theirs only 45%?) and they have no armor.

My rhoa Kwi guardian does ok, he's not Arnie or anything but he sure keeps the Storm troopers running while i shoot em. And he doesn't run away which is something my rancor started to do after the last changes!

Rancors have always been cowards, gurrecks and other animals with cat skins are some of the most reliable.

I checked him last night after a day of growth and he has grown but his level is still 0. So it's ok to use as long as I don't have him out with my lvl 50 Bluurg?

Thanks guys
