Anytime a profession's bugs are corrected and it's made more enjoyable to play, it's reason to be happy.
My hope is that the devs, in their quest to fix the broken systems they sent live, don't neglect the rest of the professions that still need tweaks and fixes (BE pet colors not sticking, no professional documentation, no way to see CL before the DNA template is finished, and the list goes on). I'm worried that once a profession is "mostly" fixed, gets ignored for a year and a half until they make a pass through the rest of the professions that need work.
As far as balance concerns go, I think that if the devs maintain (establish?) balance between droid power and creature power, then everything will be fine. Right now (if the devs don't nerf it), the big advantage (or more realistically, the POTENTIAL advantage) is that creatures have special attacks that they should be able to execute (now, getting these SAs to work against droids....?).

What evidence?
The issue isn't that we are happy/unhappy with DE's, it's that the Dev's don't seem to be keeping balance between Droids and Creatures.
The only issue I'd have with a DE is if he/she thought a tin can like R2 should be as/more powerful than the 50+ tons of bone, muscle and armored platethat is the Rancor...

If DE's get something good, something a tad better than what we can make, then *GREAT* for them.
They were happy for BE's when BE got an overhaul, I see no reason not to reciprocate.

Oh so you supported us so we could support you? How generous. Never the less it's nice that DEs are getting attention, just the same as it was nice for the chefs and will be nice for the commandos and the smugglers and the bountyhunters. DEs aren't a unique case which deserve special treatment you know. Everyone has their problems.

I think in some ways DE are a special case. They've been pretty much hosed since day 1. They've also been told "you'll get fixed soon" since about two months into the game. That doesn't make them unique, but they're pretty much the last profession to get attention (well, squad leader still hasn't gotten any).

I /sign in support for DEs. But don't support Pahbi at all. He wants BEs to be nerfed. Tal-N is trying to prevent us from being nerfed and Pahbi is trying to hinder Tal-N in those efforts, insulting him for trying to prevent the nerf.
