Thread: Clones not achieving their max damage...is this new?

I have a gurreck and a carrion spat, both BE'd. They both reached maturity after the most recent publish. The gurreck has a max damage of 497-507, slightly better than in the wild. But once the gurreck was fully grown the damage in my data pad is listed as: 490-500 (497-507). It's the same for the carrion spat, who's damage reads 93-103 (90-100). In other words, the minimal damage increase I managed to get doesn't seem toapply to thetamed creature.

I have only been a master BE for a couple of weeks, the two clones mentioned above are the only two I have made, tamed, AND grown to 100%.

Is this a new "feature", or have clones always had this kind of damage cap?

It's always been like that, don't know why. It rounds down to the nearest ten. Also if you look at the attack speed you'll find that it slows down as damage goes up, so there isn't much point in tweaking the damage unless you get a high number in the last digit. Then you might want to throw a point in there to bring it up to the next ten.

I've always noticed that as well. As you can see from Yosho's sig, it's not really a priority issue right now.
