Thread: This change from today's patch doesn't mean what I think it means, does it?
"Bio-Engineer: Removed Tissue mods from applying to armor."
Over half the clothing tissue products that don't require milk go into Reinforced Fiberpanels that can only go into armor, so what the heck does this mean?
Talthazar, can you explain what this means?
The armor doesn't get a bonus to resist rates from high quality tissues does it?
Because if it means that you can no longer put these tissues into armor...
when has it gone from BE's needing serious content, to needing to be nerfed?
RFP's are a tailor product and go into several (though not enough) clothes. AS's need them fora ton of armortypes, but they are a tailor thing.
you act as though tissues used to work in armor. this was an accidental bug and was only in effect for like 3 days. they told us long ago that tissues are not supposed to go into armor and probably never would because its overpowered (and i agree - 18 enhancement slots in comp armor?! thats more than 2x whats possible with any clothing outfit. plus ... its armor!). i would agree with maybe 2 enhanceable slots in a whole set, but even that is pushing it.
It means exactly what we think it means. Instead of increasing interdependency (armorsmith/BE), they're eliminating it.
Okay, here's the deal. For the past three months, I've been focused on becoming the ulitmate bio-engineer. I love the concept and potential, what the profession "should" be. However, after the last major patch, the smoke-and-mirrors promises of meaningful improvements, and the nerfing of an already massively broken profession, I'm seriously considering joining the massive of L337 freex and become a jedi, commando, or some other profession that the devs care about. I'm generally a very positive, optimistic person (I think all BEs, to a degree, have to be to stick with the profession for any amount of time), but it does now seem like bio-engineer is a profession slated for removal. Do we have any solid evidence that would prove otherwise?
(Eyeing the "Surrender skill" button....)
hmmmm weird, well my apologies, was talking to a friend last night, and I could have sworn he said he was making a pair of gauntlets and a helmet
could be he was just talking about clothes though.
Tissues should work in armor and guns but no that would make to much sense. **edit** you soe.

I've been working on becoming the best Bio-engineer too, but even when I do make an awesome gurreck or stimpack, I'm the only one who's impressed. The stats just aren't high enough for other people to consider buying.
Reinforced Fiberpanels are used in a variety of clothes, not just armor.
Reinforced Fiberpanels that utilize our components will give bonuses when integrated into clothes.
Reinforced Fiberpanels that utilize our components will not give bonuses when integrated into armor.
Just wanting to make sure that the information I pass on to my clients is correct.
