Why is it that after training tiers one and two in dna sampling am i still failing to sample over and over again on butterflies ... BUTTERFLIES !!!!!! I have +30 at tier 2 in dna sampling and i suck just as bad at sampling dana as i was as a novice Bio eng .

Put it this way , im 4/4/2/4 im bio eng becasue my holocron told me too be one , now u tell me .... why is that i cant sample a diseased Nuna and flesh eating chuba when ever i want to , make s no sense at all to fail 27 times in a row , yah 27 ! i was like come here to my roomate and showed him i couldnt sample off the simplest creature 27 times. The flesh eating chubba is the meekest creature in the game , now why couldnt i just walk right up and snatch a sample when ever i want to , im tier 2 in dna sampling +15 +15 to DNA sampling and it doesnt mean squott , i dont get a better sample i dont get more samples i dont get IT .

First off, if you are continually failing, check your inventory. If it is 100% full you will keep on failing. If your failing that much on butterflies this can be the only plausible explanation.

Grinding level 1 and 2 of sampling is mundane and boring. Get to a starter planet and bring some muon gold. Sample all the crap outsitde a starter city. When you complete level 2 and train it get yourself to somewhere like Dant and sample away at lesser plains bols and the odd normal bol that you come across. 190 ish and 320 ish exp respectively. Mask scent is probably also required on these those as they spook real easy. They do not death blow either.

DNa sampling is probably one of the most difficult skills to understand. I for one have no idea how exactly it works, but here is dome data

Things I generally suceed on close to every time (works about the same on most varieties)

Zucca boar, Squall, Syck, paralope, huuron, bol, dewback, bantha, ronto, Krettel, womp rats

Some things I fail on repeatedly

ril, gorg, butterfly,

for some reason a lot of the low creatures seem to be more resistant to sampling than higher level ones. My advice to you, sample everything you see. If you fail more then 2 times, give up and move on to the next critter.

Hang in there! It gets better. I sampled over ten slinking voritor lizards in a row a minimum of 2 times before they died and a maximum of six without any aggros. So to answer your question yes it does make a difference. Not only can you sample easier you get much better samples at higher levels. Good luck and Godspeed.
