I spent about 6 hours on Dath yesterday looking for one of these buggers. i cruised at least half the planet, I went into the nightsissy dungeon, down into the cave, nothing. Can someone please help me out here?

They're in the Mutant Cave, which I don't have a wp for as I'm at work and not in game. you should be able to find the info on the web somewhere, though.. The cave is about 4km west of the Science OP, and a tiny bit south.

As far as I've noticed, that's the only place they spawn.

Mutant rancors are almost always found in the same area as Regular, Bull, and enraged Rancors. If your traveling around an see one of thier lairs then simply scout the surrounding area in expanding circles and your very likely to run into lairs with other types of rancors.

Usually ill find2 or 3 Mutant lairs within 500 meteres of each other.
