Howdy, I'm new to the BE boards. I dug around a bit in this board for the answer to this issue, but could not seem to find a clear answer, so here goes:

I recently started the Med Profession, so I bought aBio-Engineered Doctor's Dress: 25 + med use / 25 + wound healing (I think those are correct terms) And I don't seem to notice the boost in skills or abilities, nor does it list them (the noted increases) in my skill mods section of the skills page (ctrl -S).

So to my question, is there a noted bug with this or am i not understanding how this works ?

Thanks for any assistance

To test it out very reliably, find a stim pack that is too hard to use without the doctor's dress, but not too hard to use with the doctor's dress. Stim C's are beyond most new novices, I think they require 30 Medicine Use.So if you have 5 or 10 Medicine Usewithout the dress, try to use a Stim C and it won't work. Then try it with the dress and if you can use it, you'll know it works.

Greetings,

The bonuses on Active Bio-Sensors (which is the tissue that was most likely used in that dress) are to Injury Treatment and Wound Treatment, which improve how much you heal for with Stimpacks and Woundpacks. It does not effect what level of medicines you can use: you would need a SEA with +MedUse (and all the ones that I’ve heard of were bugged and didn’t work anyway) for that to happen. If you normally heal for 100 with a given pack, and then put on the dress, you should heal for 125 because of your 25% bonus from the clothing. To test this would be a pain, because healing is a range rather than a single number, but from what I’ve seen they do in fact help you heal for more on average (also lets you buff better, since Enhances come off of Wound Treatment).

Thanks for all the responses.

I had not tested to see if the "medicene use" mod was actually working, and just not being listed in the skill mods...I should have but I didn't, I will try that tonight. I just reached pharmacology 3 last night, so I guess I can find some higher level meds (stim D, etc) to test that out.

As for the "wound healing" mod...yea I kinda figured that would be a tough one to make a determination if it was working, but would hope that it would at least be listed in the skill mod table to tell me it was. Just strange that it isn't, as I previously had a Bio-Engineered (+ 6 camo) shirt in which the skill mods were shown.

Guess I will have to just submit a Customer ticket about it not showing up in the table...I just hope the mods are working.

Thanks Guys

The clothing was made with an old tissue. The tissues were changed so that Medicine Use is no longer able to be modified with bio-enhanced clothing, as that unbalanced things too much, apparently. So, unfortunately, that doctor's dress is useless. The change was quite intentional on the part of the developers, so you won't get any recompense for it or get it fixed.

If you were to get an item of clothing made that had two Active BioSensors in it, that added up to or over +25, you'd have the maximum medical bonuses you can get from bio-enhanced clothing. That would be +25 Injury Treatment/+25 Wound Treatment. That can be acheived in most of the hats, by the way, if you can find a tailor who's got crated Active BioSensors. (They have slots for a single synthetic cloth panel, and one for So you can have a Warm Hat (the upside-down flowerpot looking thing) or Sunguard (the Chinese-looking peaked top one) that'll be as much as we can do for you.
