Thread: Dont make small pets!

I made the mistake of making my best pet a squall and now it has trouble keeping up with me even if i walk!

I figured i would make my pet (frenzied graul + rhoa guardian) small so it wouldnt totally block my view like a grual or rancor did in confined spaces, i wish i didnt in hindsight. Now i have this stupid little fluffy bunny of death that cant even keep up with me which makes it completely useless.

So just a warning to the other BEs, dont make small pets!

Thank you for the warning. Since size doesn't matter, but speed does, does anyone know which clone shell is the fastest? My uneducated guess would be something from the "cat" line (razor cat, gurrcat) but I've never tried to keep up with a blurrg either...

So far as I've seen, the absolute fastest animals are the felines(plains hunter/tusk cat), followed closely by the bird-lizards(kaadu/spat/etc)...

Huurtons/Chokus/Kusaks are pretty fast, yeah. Used to use kusaks all the time when I was CH.

Another very fast body shape is the "raptor" style... blurrgs/cu pas/kwis.

narglatch can keep up too, haven't tried langlatch yet

I've had about 10 requests for a level 70 gnort, durni or whatever cutesy little n00b area skin

/r You don't want that it can't keep up with you just walking. I could make a much better pet in a different skin

The Shear mite? I used to use them in Dath, they can not keep up with me on the hills, the graul does not do hills well either. But found that the Gaping Spider did keep up with me on hills.

so far the razor cat - gurrcat and gurreck all can keep up with my speeder bike most fo the time. They seem to be all the same speed - non of my other models have been able to do that.

Size doesn't matter, it's the body type. Squalls are very slow, even thosed tamed as pets in the wild.

I thought I should mention that the (relatively) tiny slice hounds of Corellia are very fast... Had some as pets when I was a lowly novice CH, I think they are just as fast as GSP's.

Not that it matters, all I ever get requests for is kimo kimo kimo, lol...what about the "goat" type skin, like Ikopi/Swirl prong? they seem to do well on open stretches and I imagine they would be excellent "off-road"; anyone confirm?

My mottled wrix can't quite keep up with my speeder, but he does well if I go at about 1/2 - 3/4 speed (by tapping the throttle rather than holding it down).
