Thread: What BE content would you like to see in the semi-near future (2-4 publishes down the road)?

i would absolutely love to see a BE mission/quest like the armorsmith one where we meet an ancient BE and he offers to teach us how to make more powerful pets somehow, or teaches us to make creatures that "became extinct" (in other words: dont exist at all in the wild) or teaching us to"manipulate genes," giving us a generic creature templatewho's appearance would be based on the DNA template alone... the most dominant donor's body type - allowing us to create creatures that we dont specifically have templates for... orsomething like that. the armorsmith mission is really cool, making them collect all these extremely rare resources and create parts one by one to complete the quest. i would like to see something like this done for BE's... possibly involving collecting samples from extremely rare species and travelling to many different planets to complete the quest.

other than that, i would like to see the obvious:more exclusive BE creatures, more (and more useful) clothing tisues, and a fix for the food tissue problem... and possibly a few new types of tissues designed for other purposes.

i would also like to specify here that i would rather gain new schematics and abilities through adventuring and quests than have them simply given to me. after what we have is fixed (cloning, missing ingredients, food tissue cost/benefit problem) and we are balanced out i would like to see some seriousquests with actual stories behind them (not like themeaninglessdelivery mission stories: "my husband wants a divorce.. take this or that to someone even less significant than me and they will give you 300 credits" or worse, the destroy mission stories: "there arecavemen doing something or other that something blah blah destroy them").

A few things I'd like to see :

Either milk & mollusc appearing in larger quantities, or the ingredients changing.

A BE ability to "call" a pet for show. This pet would not be able to be used in combat, as a mount or have any commands etc, but would allow a BE to display his pets without trying to fit a Kimogilla in a small house . All it would be is an unattackable, unuseable version of the pet, with it still in deed form.

Some more interesting creatures. Snakes, fliers, maybe even some NPC's - why not have a BE'd Desert Demon ?

DNA Storage. Ye gods, DNA is a pain to store

Better labelling of DNA.

After this patch my top rant is going to be dna storage. Then it'll be for fliers and snakes

I agree that dna is a pain to store, but with this patch -- wont it make it a little better, because we can premak the generic dna templates? which would clean up some items

2 things

1.) Guarlaras -similiar to gualamas, but if gualamas are white and deer like, the Guarlaras are like black draft horses. next to impossible to find in the snowy northern areas of Naboo, the only domestic herd is kept by the Queen. seen on top of the Theed arch

2.) More Pretty/Cute Pets - everyone loves these. pets like kimos, jaxs, chubbas, durnisand squalls are useless in a fight but still a lot of people have them because they're cute. you guys should be able to make small mynock-sized dragons, singing birds and living fish. possibely even taking it a step farther, let BE pets have different tricks then their wild counterparts.

I liek to wear bandoleers... On TC I am storing my DNA as generic templates.. That however means 2 things.

1.) you need to know beforehand what you want to make (say taking orders from customers).

2.) you need to keep some DNA in your inventory whiel you wait for the "perfect 5th DNA sample"

It is a partial solution, but works best when yuo are grinding.

ATM, I mostly save out the DNA I want, and template the trash (to grind with when I get back to town).

I had to buy a backpack anyway ... no points for style in SWG, everyone wear a backpack! ;p

If a greater availability of milk, seafood, eggs and, if I had my way, all creature resources, has to be the #1 issue now, though I'm not sure if that would be considered new content.

My #1 content issue is that we need more tissues! I'm very excited about the DNA and creature changes, but some of us (okay, maybe 2% of us...) got into this profession because of the tissue line and right now the selection is:
Bleed defense and better bleed defense
Melee defense and better melee defense
Doctor healing and better doctor healing
Entertainer healing and better entertainer healing
Mask Scent and better Mask Scent
Cover and better Cover

Now, those are nice skills, but the fact that we basically only have 6 items where there are probably 300+ skills in the game is pretty sad. All the other defenses, all the weapon skills, all the crafting skills. There needs to be a lot more variety here.

And yes, I forgot the chef stuff. But there are so few chefs, so many chef bugs, chef products are so relatively weak, chef components require so many unattainable resources, and so many BE chef component bugs, they are not worth counting.

I personally hate having to store DNA, hell I have an entre house filled to the brim, but my #1 rant right now is:

GIVE US SOME FLIERS!!!!!

Wouldn't have to be anything fancy. We'd take reptilian fliers, peko pekos, lantern birds, whatever.

after that, snakes.

then, more tissues, and possibly some BE-only special attacks for creatures?

Craftable creature mod kits that work on bio creatures only. That way CH's could color their own bio pets. I can imagine what it's goona be like:

BE: Your pet is just about done. What color do you want me to make him.

CH: I don't know. What are the choices?

BE: Well there's light brown, medium brown, dark brown, kind of a tan color, a blueish color, a maroon... erm... go look at www.whatcolorshouldmypetbe.com and come back.

I would like to see the ability to clone soldiers.

customer1: "I'll take two commandos, three TKs, and a Sniper"

BE: "Ok turn around and bend over" <Pulls out 6" long needle and gives an evil grin> "This wont hurt a bit!"
