Right, clearly there is more going on here than simply bugged dna. I went to Dantooine and Dathomir last night and took samples from all types of pickets plus took a few samples from the noxious kahmurith and did not end up with any bizzare results. Someone said that making direct copies of merek deaths head was leading to the odd results but personally I think it's not species which are bugged it's the calculations for the sub-master bio-engineers. The problem seems to stem from the success of assembling the clone and the template.

Now here I have a number of direct copies from wild animals, as you can see the bugged CL10 and whatever clones actually exceed what is produced at a far highly level. I first made a test to see if different quality dna was making as much a difference. Using Roba dna i made two clones. No experimentation was done and one used all very high samples while the other used high samples. The end results effected the CL rating as stats as you would expect.

Now as you can see these turned out to be actually far weaker than what some people are producing for pets around CL14, that shouldn't be possible as this is simply a direct copy using the best possible dna. As we know experimentation raises the CL rating further so this is essentially an accurate example of what you should be seeing for these ratings. If you compare these with mobs in the game then the CL rating is typical for their ham and damage.

Here is a second gen hybrid Shearmite. As you can see for CL12 the stats slightly higher than what you usual see at CL10, that makes perfect sense. This used a mix of dna i just had sitting around like with Fierrce Picket protector dna so that I could check to see if any of that was throwing calculations off.

The following is a second gen hybrid which was around CL18. As you can see the HAM and damage is actually lower than you would expect for this CL rating but when you look at the kinetic and energy resistance you can see they are very high. Because resistances under the new CL rating system are weighted the bulk of the CL rating is spent on the energy and kinetic protections. The damage for this is also lower than you would expect for this rating. This clone was experimented on as much as possible and had the physch stat raised as high as possible to test the rumor that increasing it lowered the CL rating. Clearly it didn't.

Here is some more examples of CL19 clones which show how all of these stats are supposed to be taken into consideration by the CL ratings. Here you see that by just increasing the damage the HAM is almost halfed from the other CL19 clone which has much lower damage output. This clearly shows that there is a balancing system in place.. a balance that is broken by pets which have extraordinary HAM which even exceed all of my examples as well as having more than double the damage and resistances.

My theory is that considering I have never seen anything like this is that it's only occouring with sub-masters and the occasionally freaky accidents that occour to masters as well. I think that when there is a poor assembly that the CL rating is being lowered without the stats themselves being effected. As mentioned I did test the Noxious Kahmurrith dna last night along with Qual on Dath and it didn't give me any bizzare results even though I was using around 3 samples mixed with Nightsister rancor dna. While it is odd for a critter have armor with no resistances it's not that odd when you consider it has no vulnerabilities either. The dna stats do indeed indicate the fortitude over 500 which is consistant with the requirements to have armor.

I think the fault lies within the cloning systems calculations, not the source. However clearly more testing is needed but I'd say the place to start looking for this anomaly is with the process itself.
