Thread: vehicular courtesy
I address this first to our BE community in hopes that we we fully understand and can then talk to others about a serious problem.
Senario:
I have spent 10 minutes trying to sneak up on a high level mob to get a DNA sample. I am almost close enough to sample and some foll on a speeder comes zooming past, curious as to why some solo hunter is 5 meters from nowhere. He immediatly picks up aggro and not wanting to die, he zooms off with my creature in tow.
This has happened to me more than once.
I am a bit more concerned with the discussion here within our community about the use of bikes to sample in a dash an run senario. Since many of us are sampling Rancors in the same area it is just possible that in our hurry to avoid dying, we may run right through someone else and get them killed or ruin a sampling of theirs.
BTW, you do not have to be on a bike to do this, burst run can do the same thing.
What I am asking is that when you start to sample that you also have a planned escape path which will not get someone else killed or yourself lambasted by a fellow BE when you run over his working area.
I was thinking of making this post on open forums, but honestly figured I would just add fuel to some of the griefers out there and give them a new method of ruining someone's day.
Please, use your needle carefully and practice safe sampling!

This has been a problem for CH's since release. We have to tame babies. This requires a very similar scenario to your sample. I.E. Up close and personal to groups of nasties. It still happens because people do not pay attention to their radar or are just rude. You do not want to know how many times a day some one comes up to a lair either walking, burst, running, etc draws aggro from everything and takes off out of range or is killed. The MOBS return with their aggro and you are out of business. This does not count the CH haters that come up and kill the baby just to grief you and then take off and the combat grinders that are out to kill anything that moves for the XP.
There is no cure for it. Reputable players are very aware of any PC's in there area and will give them a wide area unless they are asked for assistance. As a CH I will some times ask a combat player not to shoot a baby if they can avoid it and watch and heal the player in return for the courtesy. Mostly, when I see a blue blip on the radar, I alter course around it.
