Thread: The Hard Facts
I have been testing out the new cloning system for the last few
weeks. I would like to get a thread started that contains most of
the widely accepted facts about cloning. Somethings might not be
exact (such as the percent each DNA slot contributes to final
resists) but as long as it is close that is fine.
What I know:
PHYSIQUE - probably the most important for passing on
resists and armor
Hardiness - translates into Health part of HAM
Fortitude - if over 500 results in Light Armor. It may
contribute to resists as well.
PROWESS – probably
the second most important for passing on resists
Dexterity - Probably translates into the Action part of HAM
Endurance – not
too sure, probably contributes to resists
MENTAL – if HQ or VHQ DNA with Ranged Attack is placed here, it is
highly likely to be passed on, marginally affects resists
Intellect
– Probably the the Mind part of HAM
Cleverness
– May affect To Hit or resists... I am very unsure
PSYCHOLOGICAL
– Affects the clone Creature Level, probably has to do with To
Hit or Attack Speed and Special Attacks, but I am very unsure.
AGGRESSION
– Fairly obviously to do with damage and To Hit and passing on
Special Attacks, moderately important for passing on resists
Fierceness
– likely to affect To Hit, possibly Attack Speed
Power
– Damage, I am fairly certain
SPECIAL ATTACKS
– I have no clue how the passing is determined. I try to only
include the Specials I want for the final product. I have a theory
that the powerful ToD and some other more desirable may be
“recessive”, that is, harder to pass on. Once I find a
combination that works consistently, I take note.
I know some people have the percentages worked out on exactly how to pass on
resists. I couldn't find the numbers quickly so I will let someone
else bring them forward.
Please, please, please add to this, tell me I'm wrong, what ever.... It is tough
searching through 9+ pages of the other threads for one or two pearls
of information, only to find that they are outdated and disproven.
Thanks,
WolfGuy
Fortitude over 500 = light armor
Cleverness over 500 = .50 to hit
courage over 500 - 2.00 attack speed or less
now I am watching the power rating..
People are really hush hush on info that can help on recipes and stuff right now.
Its kinda like when the game started and the few first Master crafters on your server charged an arm and a leg for their stuff. Im sure you remember how they kept all the info to themselves to corner the market as long as possible. Its the same deal with BE. Worse still because pets being made by hand and all, formulas have to be precise to get the desired results customers want. So it will be a while longer because the cat comes out of the bag on most recipes. Keeping quiet means more $$ for those that figure stuff out on their own.
I suggest you come up with a recipe that meets the needs of a particular market and go with that. To do that you have to write down every combination when making a pet. This is the only way you can replicate a be pet over and over. You must know what went where, what quality it was, and what key stats on the sample are.
Possible target markets:
Non CH CL10 Market
1- CL10 market = top of the line CL10 pets with light armor. If youfigure out this formula [has something to do with kahmurrith dna] youll make loads of money becauenot many ppl know the formula. Some thatknow it wont use it because theyre fanboi dev butt kissers and/or think its a bug.
2- CL10 market = top of the line CL10 pets w/o armor, but great kinetic resist and highHAM.Very good money here too. Especiallycaters to those that think the CL10 AR1 pets will be deleted/nerfed.
3- CL10 market = good pets, but not asgood as the top of the line CL10s. This will appeal to folks that wantgood pets, but cant pay 100k-200k for one.Assuming you price them more reasonably 10-30k
CH Mid Level pets(CL20-24
Thiscaters to the CH Dabbler market. These folks wantLight Armor, good kinetic/energy resists, andgood ham (7-10k fairly evened out ham).Depending on your recipe, thismay requiregenerational sampling of 1-2 generations. Good $$ here becausemany BEs are reluctant to spend double the dnato make 1 pet. So few suppliers. You can corner this market.
This market is cut into sub-sets from top of the line to reasonably priced lesser pets
CL 25-40 Market
MostBEs do these along with Masterlevel BE pets becauseCL is less of a concern soits easier formula wise. Not good unless you havegreat formulas thatmake your pets on par with the best onyour server.
This market is also cut into subsets from top of the line to reasonably priced lesser pets
Master Level CL a non-factor
Also easier than lower CL crittersformula wise because CL isnt an issue at all. Many BEs do this though because everyone likes making the Big Bad Monster. Same as all target markets, this one is also divided into subsets.
Come up with a nice formula and see where it falls. Thats your market.
Good Luck
I would kill for official documentation on how the system works. I would also kill for better CL rules or limits.
