I was reading on the CH boards of a Master BE making 2 Razor Cats CL35/10k-11kHAM/Light armor/poison & dizzy/and 40%-60% resists, just wanted to know if these were bugged or can you actually make them and how. Please all your help is welcomed, thanks again.

Not a bug. I have been able to produce these without using the questionable DNA.

10k HAM animals around CL30 are actually in existance in the wild so that is quite fair, the 11k HAM is pushing it a bit but i'd not call it overpowered since technically a CL35 clone is equal to around CL40 anyway according to Keldarin. The 40%-60% resists are fairly easy to come by, the prowling gurreck would be a good place to start with the dna to ensure that energy and kinetics are around 60% anyway. I'd personally merge that with a barkmite burrower sample or two. As for the poison and dizzy thats a little trickier. Nothing i know naturally has such a pairing of specials so it might be a case where you need to create a seperate clone to merge specials and use a single sample from that in the final clones aggression slot. Alternativly if they want poison and knockdown I'd suggest the Gaping Spider queen, she's around CL47 but if you blend in some lower level dna then it should bring it down to around CL35.

What is really annoying though is how Keldarin said that masters could make a pet of a specific level, as we all know that is utterly incorrect as we have no more control over the final CL than a novice.

As a master I feel like I have mroe control over pet level than I did as a novice. We have more points of experimentation so we can experiment pets up to higher levels. When you mix high and low level DNA your pet will usually start out close to lv4 or 5 (if only 1 or 2 high lv samples are used) or 9 or 10 if more samples are used. You can experiment it up from there.

As a novice most of my pets started out close to lv 10 even when I used more higher level stuff, granted I couldn't sample from the really good stuff as I can now.

this is one of those yes and no sort of answers. As a master do you have more control, yes. Is it in an easy to use fashion, no.

Agreed.

I'd like to see a CL option in the experimentation window where we could raise or lower it by spending Exp points on it (one for one or something along those lines). Of course, that assumes raising the level would be a desirable thing, which currently it isn't, but once the adjust the code to bring CL inline with stats it may well be...

It wouldn't kill Keldarin to actually allow us topop in a value for the desired CL we want, what could happen then is if the stats are higher than intended then experimentation actually lowers them behold the theshold, if however they are below the requirement then it's experimentation as usual.
