Heyas All,

I've been trying different experimetns for pets. Many of the recipes are said to be good for PvE if they have AR1 and high Kin. I would like to make some pets so an alt that is a MCH/MDoc can be of best use on some Corvette missions. What would this experienced group suggest I focus on when engineering pets. I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

From my experiences on the corvette I would say one thats expendable.... and small
We only really used pets for distracting the SBDs so we could get past them.

One group I was in some guy got his kimo out and wouldnt put it away... he got kicked from the group after we left, there just isnt room in those small corridors for pets that are gonna get in the way.

Ah NancyJ Thanks,

So what your saying is, that it is futile to use the pets to tank but that small expendable pets are good as distractors for just to get by the SBD and make it to the objectives. That sounds like a sound idea, hehe from my experiences there ) I know it seems to take A LOT of damage dealing to take one down. So what characteristics miight make my pet last longer as a decoy? hehe )

from what ive heard the corvette you need high kinetic and high energy so you would need to find a way to get both of those at 60% with light armour. as for the skin, you would need to it be small and preferbly quite quick so obviously a gurrcat or a kima would be pretty good.

I have actually played around with formulas and found there is a way to create such a pet the only problem is sampling the creature that you need for it. Also found that if you can get a nice CH there you could possibly get a 100% kinetic/stun pet in there. I found the holy grail of pets when I saw one that has 100% kinetic resist stats on it. Have a feeling though that is a once in a life time sample to see and behold. I saw a malkloc plains walker. Also you can make a pet fromgiant dune kimo samples and give it a nice round 65% energy 60% kinetic resistance. I don't think you can get a pet to totally tank an SBD but one with around 9k HAM would deffinately be a benefit and slap it into a sweet kliknik skin or racor cat would be awesome.

i tried: THL - THL - LCB - MDH - THL and got a nice pet with light armour, 60% energy and 38% kinetic (vuln to rest). I would like to point out that you have to use VHQ samples or you might not get light armour. I can't tell you what level it was because I got a critical on the skin stage

key:

THL = Thune Herd Leader

LCB = Large Cave Beetle

MDH = Merek Death's Head

Last time I checked BE'd Pets are set at 60% energy maximum resistance.

As far as the pet, I went up with a few friends, one of which had a pre-nerf kwi (CL1) and we lasted a pretty good while.

Best pet I could suggest would be a twin combination of CL35s with Light Armor, 60% kinetic/energy, vuln to rest. Have one with strong poison/intimidation, the other with stun/blind. Maximize the HAM, and take some Pet Stim Ds. Give everyone at least 3 stim Ds (so you can guarantee noone runs out). Two of these as tanks, take the corvette relatively slow, and you should be good to go.

I have found that is it more detremental to have a pet out in the corvette then it is to just leave them stored. SBDs are easy enough to get by with buffs if you knoiw what your doing and you can always get the NPCs to distract SBDs for you.

I visited the DWB the other day with my MCH/MBE. I used a pet I made out of some Mite from endor (regrettfuly forgot to note down the name of it when sampling). Little Bitzy is in a shear-mite-form with light armor, 60%kinetic and I think 45% energy and very nice and high secondary resitances too... she could easily hold off one of those SBDs solo for atleast 5 minutes or so before going down.

Death Watch Bunker SBD <> Corvette SBD. I can solo a DWB SBD no problem, but I die pretty quick in the Corvette against one.

Malkloc plainswalkers can be found in the wastelands of Dathomir. Go to the science outpost and head south. About 2k away you'll get to the plains, head about halfway in and go east or west till you find the plainswalkers. Sample the Young ones, cause the female and males are too high level to even touch. You'll also find Kinad Baz Nitch's which are good for light armor pets and high ham, but low resistances.

the young malk's have 65% kinetic and high energy too and they run CL55. If you get nice samples, there's no reason you can't reproduce something just as good or better. (cept for the 65%, be happy with 60)
