I originally finished grinding BE 5 months ago for the holomadness. Now I have done it again for the sake of my chef, save for the last tow boxes of sampling.
Last time I did it the hard piket way... I was wondering if anyone had any secret tips to speed this up. I left it afk in a cave but the spawn rate seems to slow down when you sample... anyone else experienced this?
Ifyou can give me a trick that will afk the last two sampling boxes overnightstopping only to train the boxes, I will TIP you1 million credits... I dont care if youa rent on my server, I will credit swap. Post here or if its secret send me PM.

I can't offer you a method to afk sample overnight, however, I've done literally all of my sampling on Lok, starting with Perleks and Gurnasets(yes, I skipped past the level 12 and below stuff with no problems), did this through sampling II when I started sampling Gurks(mission lairs,the only missions that have various8k rangepayouts at terminals). 310 exp per gurk youth, and 346 per gurk, typically 9 gurks per lair. Last night I finished the 25k of Sampling III that I needed and 47k of Sampling IV in less than 3 hours. So if you don't mind a spending a couple buff sessions finishing up the Sampling tree, I'd say that's a good way to go.
P.S. If you get a big group or can group with someone with an AT-ST, you can get gurk lairs for 14k at terminals, thesehigher difficulty gurk lairs have up to 15 gurks to harvest(sometimes feral, worth more than 346 exp) and when you destroy the lair, these lairs even spawn gurk destroyers, shaggy gurk youthsand reclusive gurk kings(up to 4 destroyers/4 youths, or a king and a few youths, or a king and a few destroyers)

Lol, can't believe what I readam 3/2/4/3, and I maxed out the # of xp I can get from sampling.. Viva the grinding guyz.. this makes me sick. I got the Sample IV way way way before I got 2/0/4/2.
Guess I am the only one enjoying the sampling/crafting..

thanks for the tip mate, I appreciate it. I was thinking more along the lines of a good cave with a non-aggro with a high spawn rate. The thing is I dont want to sample anymroe =/ I did it the hard way before, dont want to do it again and I see no end in sight for this... even tho it is only 2-3 buff sessions... my play time is limited.
to the one star ninja: I hope one starring non-flame posts makes you feel nice and powerful ... congrats.

There isn't any AFK trip you can use. You have to do it the regular way (or the 'hard' way as you desribe it). It can take a while (couple of days), and is sometimes painful, but its the price of being a MBE.

I had the same question a couple of weeks ago and I continued to struggle along until...
I went to Yavin 4 to the Mining Outpost (I think...it was the one to the north) and just went nuts on the beach sampling everything in sight. As far as I could tell, even the nasty aggressive stuff doesn't deathblow (I know the Crystal Snakes, Klikniks and Gackle batsdon't) and you couldavoid them altogether and just do the safer Mamiens and Stintarils and Whisper Birds. You are within a rocks throw of town and there is a constant spawn of CL 11-30 critters. I did the last 60k of sampling experience there in a few hours and made Master BE last Friday night (woo-hoo!). I also got some dandy samples to put together some interesting pets. I also brought back a Giant Stintaril baby with me and he is growing up nicely. Hope this helps...have fun!

First Buff, wear 80% composit and weild your best weapon. Get two piket missions on Dantooine that are close to each other (both the same direction). Sample thepiketsto death (milk them while you are at it.) but do not attack the lair. Once the original spawn is gone and you just have the lair run to the other missions and do the same. You can sometimes go back and forth for an entire buff before some dolt comes along and attacks the lair. I did my 4th box in about 4 hours using this method. Yeah it's boring, but this game is a lot more fun if you don't grind.
If you are just starting the third box you might want to startto use lesser plains bol missions because you will probably get aggroed a lot by pikets with only sample II.

I think I know what he's saying...
"Because I didn't just macrogrind out the other 3 columns after buying some big ol' stacks of resources, I found that sampling XP came naturally"
That's the gist, anyway.
I'm doing BE "the hard way" myself, with bursts of practice crafting when I get near the end of a box. So far, I'm a mere 1-0-1-1, but I'm enjoying the heck out of it. It works very well mixed with CH, with some 1-0-1-0 Carbineer to shoot things when they get pissed at you sticking a big needle in them.
