oky im still working on geting to master,, its taken a while but no biggy. Im off sampling today on dath, endor, rori, dant, and naboo to get all the samples i need.

this is my Q though,.

How do i get the particular primary and secondary attacks from certain DNA to work? Does it just take the strongest primary and strongest secondary? say i use 2 samples of one type that has med disease, and 3 of a lesser that has crippling strike is there a way too pick the one you want? like order or number of samples used?

Also ive noticed i can get higher than 65% on other ressist, not energy/kin are the others not caped?

i havent seen stats on secondary attacks, but is say a dizzy from a lvl 20 weaker than a dizzy from a lvl 40? or something that says milkd poison>?

thanks for the input.. im having fun making cirtters soo far, i cant wait till i get more points soo i can exp on um more : )

Hmm... to my experience it's more lor less a game of luck which special attacks end up in your final template. The effectiveness of those special attacks seems to depend on the stats of the finesh creature, not that much on those of the samples. So if you get a dizzy strike from a lvl 20 creature nad your final creature is lvl 40 the final creature should have a higher chance to dizzy than the original lvl 20 creature you got the special from.

I'm now Master BE for like 7 months now, but I still have to do alot of try and error work to make nice BE-pets.

i also think that it depends on the quality of the sample, if use very high quality samples in the aggression slot then ur likely to get it to stick.

Just so you know, there are instructions for this in the FAQ thread stickied at the top and the work well, but since I havn't awnsered one of these and have gotten the hang of it....

Ok, so you have the 5 templates. If you want to nearly guarantee a set of specials here is the best way....

A. Find a pet that has the exact specials you want (go to www.swgcreatures.com and use the database.) Choose the one around the level you want and with good resists. Try to get samples with Very High or High quality.

B Get some DNA from creatures with very good resists, Merric Harvesters, Bark Mite Burrowers, and others are good, but the Harvesters are the best for pur kinetic. Try to get samples with average or above average quality.

C. Put the DNA from the pets with specials into the last two slots (aggression and psychology). Put the resist samples into the other three slots, preferably using only two samples that share any one special in the same slot.

D. Now create your creature. You should get good resists and the exact specials you want. Experiment for the stats you want. If you miss the target level you can try re-sampling, and re combining using the second gen dna in the last two slots, and since it will have high resists you can use something other than harvesters or the like in the first 3 for brauder resists and other qualities.

Here is the explination....

Specials come from a weighted average of the various DNA samples. Some slots are more heavily weighted than others. The higher quality the sample the more likely the specials will stick, and the more samples with the same special in the same place, the better your odds. Psychology seems the best for special 2 and aggression the best for special 1. But if you use VH quality samples in the other three that all have the same specials they are likely to stick. So, if you concentrate the same specials in psy and agg and scatter the rest and use the right quality you almost can't go wrong. If it comes out slightly off level or the stats arn't right just re-sample and find the right DNA to make up the difficiencies.

Note: For high level pets you want to nail it on the first combine. For mid and low level pets generational sampling will help you nail the level. I've been making my first sets of cl35 ish pets using this technique and I've nailed the specials on every combine. BTW I recomend Cripple+Dizzy(Roa Kwi Guardian/pack leaders) Intimidate+Stun(rancor dna) Strong Poison+Blind(Toxic Meric Battlelord) as good combos.

If you use VHQ dna in the aggression slot, both specials on that piece of dna stick every time.

Lozareth is long gone.

Great that helps a ton..

Oky another Q for you seeing you boys where soo good at the first one : P

Creature Level....

Oky say i end up with a pet at lvl 26 and i want a lvl 25.. or i make a kick ass pet is lvl 20 and want to dumb him down to lvl 15 for a novice CH to use is there a good way to go about this in generational sampling then recombining? say add some hurton DNA to drop a mid lvl,. or maybe some tybis for a lower lvl? am i right on this asumption that combining 4 samples of a first gen and then putting a lower lvl sample from something with 0 resists, or specials will basicly drop the lvl slightly with out effecting the over all pet.. save for a minor drop in ham, attack, reists?? Basicly the same pet just slightly weaker>?

My reason for all these Q's is i have been out DNA sampling on yavin, endor, dant, naboo, talus, rori.. and have about 500 samples to play with.. all your help will make my mad scientist persona to be even more successfull..

One more Q,

Does dependibility keep the pet from running all over,, cause i know with my CH,, that is very very anoying when they take off...only to die

Just do less experimenting, if you take 5 samples from a CL24 critter and put them together with no experimenting the resulting creature will have a lower CL.
