Until recently (two patches ago?) I've been using the voritor dasher/huurton pup recipe to make my CL10s. It was pretty reliable, VHQ dasher in 1 & 2, AA pup in 3 & 4 and VHQ pup in 5, 1 point in physique and 1 in mental and I'd hit 10 more times than not. I'd save my HQ and AA dasher and combine them with nightspider when I got home to Naboo and have a decent trip.
Now I'm not producing results as reliable. The dasher-pup produces CL11 with that technique so I have to resample and then my results on 2nd generation aren't as reliable (or more likely I haven't taken good enough notes to know how to work it yet). I managed to produce some good results with an assortment of combinations of HQ/AA dasher and nightspider and hit CL10 about 7 in 10 times.
I was wondering what experiences other people have had with CL10 recipes and reliability (consistantly getting 10 with a particular recipe). I'm also wondering if anyone has a 10 recipe with Naboo creatures since I would be able to produce more creatures faster (my alt has a new vendor and sales have increased dramatically).
TIA

I made 12 non-ch pets using the dasher/pup formual last week. I only put 1 point into physique and got CL 10 11 out of 12 times. The other was CL 11 that I second gen'd to a CL 9.

At master, the vort/huurton method will produce CL11 more often than 10. sometimes CL12.
I ONLY experiment on INT to even out the ham. Otherwise I'll have a 3800/2500/500 ham pet.
It seems the Vort dasher is required for the first 2 slots and the next 3 can be anything that is bottom level critter DNA. Corellian Butterfly Drone, (itslower than a regular corellian butterfly and is the same as a huurton pup) Minor Gubbers are also the lowest levels. I would think that agrilat rasps are also small but they only have low ham and high agression, so they don't make good samples. Normally though, any yard trash outside of towns can be placed into the huurton pup spot, as long as it is the lowest level you can find.
ON a side note, I used 5 gurrcat samples to make a 1500 even ham pet CL10. I didn't dare touch any experimentation points as that always put it to CL12 or higher.
Also, I had my favorite artisian make me a horrible food/chem crafting tool as well as a horrible crafting station for making non-ch pets. Seems to help stay below the CH level of pets.

I suffered from the same problem using VD in the first two slots. Half or more of my clones came out lvl 11 or even 12. I solved this by using VD in only the first slot and hurton pup in the other four. Experiment fully on the physique, prowness, and mental slots. This gives you a 4K/2-2.5K/1-1.5K pet that is lvl 9 every time. I use this all the time to make non-CH mounts.

When I make lvl 10 pets I do VD, HP, HP, VD, HP . I experiment 4 times in Physique and once in Prowess. Makes it lvl 10 about 9 out of 10 times. I tried using Nightspider DNA instead of Huurton Pup today, since I heard it makes for a nice pet. I'm really liking the results so far.

i thought i had a reliable cl10 recipe but all it seems to make reliably are cl11s
- nonetheless, I am getting good feedback from novice CHs and the recipe can also be modified for cl12-18ish if the person wants more power. i didnt think up the recipe but i can post it here if u like.

Voritor Dasher/Voritor Dasher
Nightspider Nightspider
Huurton pup
(x Phys to about25%)
this has given me a DL 10 quite a few times
Also I have not paid much attention to quality of DNA but any seems to work.
