Has there been feedback from the devs with respect to DNA sampling and critter cloning? I'm considering dropping BE and the double XP this week is making it awfully tempting to grind out a different crafting profession.

only the fact that they are aware of it and are looking at it. Nothing has been said specifically AFAIK.
