Hi,

Just a quick into of myself to you all. I have been playing SWG since Beta 2 and found the Weapon Smith class to be most enjoyable. I am currently Master Weapon Smith on Chilastra and am still getting a great sence of saticfaction fromthis class. It really isgreat to create a really nice weapon you can be proud of after hours of experimenting and then watch it dissapear from your shop with another happy customer.

I will do my best to help with any queries you may have when it comes to our craft.

Welcome Diabalo Hopefully you can get some of our issues brought to light, such as the advanced vibro unit (obvious oversight) schematic not working.

That and the fact that higher tier weapons are all but useless, making master weaponsmith a must only for the extra experimentation points.

How about the lack of Link steel Alumn on Chilastra!! If you can fix anything fix the fact that some resources are not possible to get.

Night the resources are all in their DB's. They randomly generate them approximatly ever 5-8 days, So be patient it will come. Just not as soon as you or I even hope for

I have a question, having not beta'd...

Are the resources randomly generated, or are they pre-generated, and then randomly selected?

Please read that twice, the wording might be kind of tricky, but there's a HUGE difference. I would like to know whether this massive database I am building has any purpose.

Thanks,

Huge database

poinltess im sorry to say , if Ekeris steel spawns today with 900 OQ , then dissapears, it could spawn next month with the same name and completely new stats.

Dynamic database is what we were told, and its keeping up with this diversity that is difficult, there are sites out there dedicated to crafting, where all crafters place resources they have found etc. Why do all the work when the job is allready out there for you.

www.swgcraft.com or www.swgcentre.com , either of these links are great sites for us crafters.

Obviously, one of the things I'd like to see looked at is the materials called for in the schematics of the higher level firearms. It seems like a simple fix to me, and one that shouldn't be that tough to implement. Just change out the current metals with something that actually makes sense to use when crafting firearms.

Another thing that isn't really related to us, but does have quite an effect; is the armor panels being broken right now for armor smiths. Most of our firearms are not even close to being used at their full potential, only because the type of damage being dealt by them isn't a big deal. If armor panels were actually working, then it would actually matter what kind of weapon damage was done; thereby helping us weaponsmiths because certain weapons (tangle for instance) would be in greater demand.

Advanced Vibro Unit of course needs to be looked at.

Maybe a bit of tweaking to the technique sub-tree? Didn't notice much of a difference between 1-2 besides experimentation points; but once you hit the third level the difference is quite noticeable. Maybe even that out a bit? Give the younger generation of weaponsmiths something with tangible benefits as they work themselves up that line.

Scopes as long as we're nit-picking. Why have them even as an optional item? Either figure out something to do with them, or just scrap them all-together.

My five items, though I'm sure I'll think of more as the day goes by.

Yet another thing, item decay as it applies to weapons. Really good read below, kinda long but alot of nice ideas about decay as it pertains to weapons supply/demand.

I've seen a lot of nonsense about the correspondent not supposed to pass along their own views.

I disagree. This position requires independent thought. Many of you speak pretty highly of the 'needs of this community', but more and more I see a high percentage of dabblers in here, as well as people who are not even interested in Bounty Hunter profession, but rather trying to discredit those with good ideas, and add confusion to this forum.

This means the correspondent needs to weed out the clowns first.

I don't agree with much of what Varvidos01 thinks. So what? Your claims that hewas not resending those needs to DEV are untrue. If you disagree, prove it.

As for DEV, considering the seeming lack of interest in this profession, who in hell would want this job? They created a position just to have communications with the community, then don't use it. So this guy has to go through all the work, just to be ignored by them, and then be blamed by you clowns for nothing being done about the problems.

Congratulations, your campaign to discredit Varvidos01 has worked. He quit. And personally, I don't give a rat's ass who takes over. Nobody is listening anyway. Even if they were, this is another example of the whiners running their own campaign to ruin this game all in the name of their own selfish needs.

Considering DEV is listening to you more than anybody else, I can see where this game is going down the flush hole fast, and nothing is being done to stop it.

Yep, all you whiners out there who try to gain things for your own end instead of for the profession as a whole just got a nice fat pacifier stuck in your mouth.

The problem is that none of you people frothing at the mouth, jumping up and down and crying for your mommies understand is that no one will listen to you doing that. Like I told someone here once, I work in a job where I deal with people all day long, and in that, I get at least 1 person per day that for some reason thinks that yelling and screaming will get their problem resolved. What they don't understand is that 99% of the people out there just tune you out, or just do something to shut you up quickly so that we don't have to listen to you acting like a two year old.

Varv did a good job trying to weed out all the nonsense from all the crybabies to try to present the issues that need to really be focused on. I don't think anyone could ask for more. Sure, I am upset because the devs have yet to address our issues that he has been pushing for an answer for, but throwing a temper tantrum isn't going to get it any faster.

So now, I get to have my profession defined by those who want to froth at the mouth and who are unwilling to accept that things will change, and work with those changes to make us a class that not only survives, but can be stand up professionals no matter what.
