Bio Engineer Archive

So.. I took up BE... partially because of what a Holocron told me.. see I was in Bestine one night and decided to become a Bio engineer.

So in One night I went Ochem1-4 in about 2 hours. the next day my friend gives me a Holocron.... what does it say? " Master Bio-Engineer" Spiffy I htink just what I was going to do..

Fast forward... Day 1 ( holoday ) I managed Novice Cloning1 and Tissue 1 now today on day 2 I've managed Cloning2 DNA 1 and Experimentation1 bringing my BE total to 2111....

So as I'm doing my crafting I'm thinking.... Why are the BEs getting the short end of the stick ( in more ways then one) How are we supposed to compete for Holos? I'm sorry but the money I make has been going for Maintence/ Materiels I can't get 2 million like a Architect or a Weaponsmith...

On the same note How are entertainers or scouts even supposed to get Holocrons?

Are we being punished for our choices? Am I missing something?

Now I've had fun with this class and am in no way bashing it... infact I might keep it for awhile after I master it cause I'm sorta enjoying it. but what did we do to warrant such a pariah status from the developers?

again... How are We ( BE's and entertainers) supposed to aquire Holocrons? I'm sorry but raise your hand if somoene has payed you in holocrons for a Kimo or a rancor? I know they havn't payed me in any Holos...

LOL!! I thought for a second this was a self help thread for bio-engineers sort of like alcoholics anonymous.

The holocron thing is a whole issue unto itself. To me (and everyone has their own take on this) the holocrons just show how SOE view professions in general. Professions are there to master and throw away so you can master another one. After you master 8 or 10 of them you get to play Jedi. Woohoo!! It has nothing to do with any story line or any Star Wars content. I don't remember Lukebeing given ablue box from Obi Wan telling him to dance in a cantina or become a chef. He was a moisture farmer LOL.

If you want a holocron you join a group and go hunt for them. Entertainers are needed by the combat class just like doctors and what-not. Most master weaponsmiths are jillionaires and can afford to by a whole slew of them. If you really want one you can get one, even a bio-engineer.

We are no a class that competes for Holos. We are a class that the Holos send people to (poor bastards).

Holos are not needed to become a jedi. They just give you a hint on up to 4 professions that you need to master. You can become a jedi with out them.
