Thread: [CU] Novice BE still needs hunting 4 at the moment ??!! (attention to arthur please)

Hello,


I decided to make a 'pure' BE for testing BE under CURB. So I have organic chem 4 as well as 10,000 medical crafting xp. I went to the BE trainer in bestine who told me I needed organic chem 4 AND hunting 4.


Arthur - before i totally make a fool of myself by bugging this in-game and on the CURB bug forums, can you please confirm that I should do so and that you are 100% certain we should not need hunting 4....

bug it. They told us (well the medical community specifically) that we only needed medic 0004 as a pre-req. I need hunting 4 anyway so I'm not entirely upset by the idea that it is still a pre-req but in all fairness the devs told us it was no longer a requirement.

It'd make a little sense....doc and CM both require two trees in medic, be only requires one....then again all the artisan crafting profs only require one line in artisan...

The one line, one novice profession brings BE in line with all the other crafting professions.

Well, if this is a bug, its a good thing for us CM/Ranged profs, because that would be 29 skill points we wont need, enabling us to get the 0004 BE and allowing us to create our own stuff.

Here's the deal: in all the documents that I've seen (including the ones that you'all have seen) have shown only organic chem 4 as the pre-req. But yes, on TC, we still have hunting 4 as a requirement. But then again on TC they also show mimetic circuitry as giving a bonus to "cover" and myoflex giving a bonus to "dance/music wound healing" so it looks to me like they still have a lot of work to do. For what it's worth I have brought this to their attention, and asked about it, but have received no clarification on it. So I say, by all means, /bug it.

OK Thanks everyone. I am in no way adverse to making a total fool of myself anyway


I will /bug it in the game and on the forums but meanwhile see if I can get some scout in order to get BE.


My latest report is this:


1. A medic who has only the organic chem crafting line is level 3 and has 1070 health (I am human did not test for other species). Level 1 was starting level, Level 2 was on gaining novice medic. Surprisingly Level 3 was gained on completion of the Organic Chemistry tree in medic.


I am trying to make a BE that is nothing BUT a BE, with only BE prerequisites in order to report on how this affects level, DNA collecting and pet making. My goal is to produce a voritor dasher kaadu and see what level it is, health etc. so we can see how these level 10 recipes that we use most will pan out in the CU. I am going to use this as the 'test' animal as well all know what it should look like pre-CURB.


I don't know if it will be possible to do this but that is my goal...
