Once upon a time, I was a Novice BE...

Anyway, a friend wanted a mount, preferably a Cu Pa,

since they look a lot like Tauntauns.

So, I made a Cu Pa for him, nothing special since

he didn't want to use him in combat.

Turned out a CL8 - but he couldn't use it!

Why? I know that a non-CH can't use for example a Kusak

even though it's CL10 or below (due to aggro?).

But a Cu Pa? They don't seem very feroucious to me

So. Can a non-CH use a Cu Pa?

Non CH CAN use a Cu Pa. When trying to call, did they have any other pets out, any droids or was there a change in the wind?

I've always managed to screw things up IRL,

so why not in SWG

I've got a Cupa mount and as a non-CH, I can pull it no problems. He should have been able to pull it. Must have had a droid or other pet out.

He can pull it, he just can't tame or train it. He may have missed that part...

Have to be a CH to train it. It's tamed if he ca pull it. All training does is put it in the data pad.
