Thread: How do you get your pet stim C resources?? im struggling
Grab a few friends with harvest ability and go pound some spiders and mites! It builds up quick, and is nice weapon XP to boot.
As for placing harvesters without Artisan, either get a friend with Artisan to help or pay an Artisan to survey a spot for you.
Master tamer? hehe, I know what game you used to play!

Im new to master BE and wanted to make some stim C's to sell , but im struggling to get the resources . Do you buy your resources or get it yourselfs? dothmorian meat for instance . Any tips on the best way to collect that ? I would like to place harvesters to get the fibreblast , but i have no survey skill . Because the european servers are new its hard to buy resources in large quantities with good stats . Any advice from someone who makes these and sells them would be very helpful . thanks

Advertise for rangers on your server's trade forum. Offer enough and you'll get it by the thousands, then pass the cost on to your customers.
Or not. Scouts and Rangers are charging way too much for meat, bone and hide. The Scout forum, for example, recommends charging 35 cpu for OQ 950+ meat. But by buying meat at this price, some 88% of the cost of a Pet StimC would come from a resource which comprises only 22% of thematerials used. Personally, I refuse to support the hunters who are charging such absurd prices.
Instead, I hunt with my guild. We had a large group on Dathomir over the weekend, and I collected 12K of high-quality Dath insect meat. I also collected 3-4K of high-quality carnivore meat, and a several hundred units of high-quality leathery hide. Hell, I constantly get trades from guild mates during hunts, who just hand me multi-K units of meat, without charge. This helps keep my stim prices below BE standard.
Personally I make Pet Stim Bs at 34/855. Good Talusian fungus is much easier to find at much better qualities and quantities then Dath Insect meat,at leaston Intrepid for quality. For the slight increase in power and charges, it will cost you quite a bit more the get the resources.
How I make my Stim's.
The main problem with BE imo is the fact that it requires an exhuberant amount of money to get to MBE. To be quite honest, BE sucks unless you're a Master.
That being said, I'd strongly urge you not to bother with making PetStim's till you're a Master.
Buy the best fiberplast you can find. 900OQ fiberplast with 100UT isn't as good as 700OQ with 500UT. The extra experimentation points you get add up.
Subcomponents
ABEC's are relatively easy to make. The hardest thing to do really is getting the required resources. Lokian Wild Wheat is just a harvester. Tatooine Fiberplast is the hardest thing to get consistently in this one. Again, you're looking for the best here. Find a Master Doctor and get them to make your schematics.
ALS: Talusian water and Dantooine Berry fruit are easy to do. If you've got basic scout skills, its just a matter of time. Again, get a Master Doc to do the schematic for you.
ACRDM: I find this to be the hardest one to do because herbivore meat is so varied, that I find myself only able to get quantities in only 3-4k. Class 4 Liquid Petro fuel is hard to come by (on Kauri at least) because not a lot of people use it all that much, and the demand for it is relatively high since you're competing with Medics and Doctors for this resource. If you read the FAQ, ACRDM's *can* be replaced with regular CRDM's with minimal effect to the final score.
Alternatively, Master Doctor vendor, and just buy crates of the stuff off them.
PetStim's
PetStimB: Again, find the best fiberplast around. Talusian Fungus is relatively easy to get as well. It's just a harvester. Once you hit MBE, its just experimentation. I find that demand for effectiveness is higher than the number of shots. With my 10 points, I max out effectiveness, then do the shots. If you're PetStimB's are doing 700+/23+, it's a good stim.
PetStimC: This, without a doubt, is more annoying than anything else. Dath Insect meat is indeed hard to get, and is nearly impossible to solo. Your best bet is to find a MCH who needs pet stims, go with them to Dath Science outpost, and form a group. Get everyone to do spider/mite missions, and ask them to give you the insect meat. In return, heal all the pets in the group and it turns out to be a fair deal most of the time. Effectiveness of your PetStimC's should be 1000+/25+.
I think a revision to PetStim prices should be made. Because the increase demand for resources that we're seeing due to everyone grinding, I would recommend all BE's use the following formula:
(Power * Uses) / 5 = Price (rounded up to the nearest 100).
Example: 1050 power, 25 usage would go for 5300 credits. Given the demand for PetStim's lately, and since most of the resourcesI've seen on my server tend to beof low quality lately, I think its time the BE's made some cash from this, since its so time demanding.

Too high, in my opinion. Div 10 is plenty sufficient to make a profit. I bring in a million credits a week in stim, tissue and clone sales. Before I was a BE, I was lucky to afford shuttle fare.

There is no way this is going to happen, I'd never sell a stim. My current PetStim Bs are 34/855, that would be 5900/stim or 145400/crate of 25. That's rediculous!! I have a hard enough time finding 145k for a crate of 50 of those stims. I was selling my previous run of stims on Dantooine one night 26/895 for 55k/crate of 25 and I had a ton of people tell me that my prices were way outragious, although they were comparing to the 60k they spent on a crat of 50 25/500 stims they had purchased.
The only real reason I would even consider doing something like this is because of the increase in resource prices on the market. Hell, on Intrepid, people are paying 40cr/unit for Lok Wild Wheat (Hasn't been a good shift in weeks), and meat is going for up to 50cr/unit for good stuff. It's simply unreal.

Pet stims are time demanding? Where do you get this from? It takes me 5 minutes to make the schematics and I let my factories do the rest. Do you mean finding resources? Sure this can be sort of time demanding, but since vehicles have been introduced it only takes me about an hour every two or three days to check all my harvesters. And selling them isn't time demanding, I can take 8 crates of 50 to Dantooine and have them sold while I am out hunting and sampling in a matter of three hours, there's always someone there looking for pet stims.
