Thread: Is it wrong to sell these Bugged pets?
I went to dath to see what all the fuss about bugged pets was. After proudly announcing the ludicrously powerful pets i made i got loads of tells from my guild. I happily sold them to guildies for 10k or so and warned them that they would almost certainly gone nxt patch.
Now i've been getting more /tells asking about them and put some for auction, all went within a hour at buyout prices (150k or so)
Do you think it is wrong to do this? I can't really see a problem with it, i have a few bugged pets, i clearly tell people that they will be worthless next patch (probably). Is it wrong? Seeking moral guidance ![]()
It is also exceptionally bad business! I have a large cadre of regular customers who often pay me MORE than I ask for (which is above market price) simply because I always treat them fairly, educate them on the pros AND cons of everything that I make and sell, and always produce a quality product. Because of this strategy, I don't have to waste time hawking my goods, people come to me as repeat customers and through word of mouth. They know what to expect as far as ethics and quality and they don't mind paying top credits for it.
Try being a fair and ethical merchant, you'll be pleased with the results. It has meant that I've had to get out of the cl10 pet business because I can't compete with the exploiters, but there are plenty of other products that I can make my millions on, so that sacrifice is more than worth it.
This is what i thought, also a buyout price of 150k is not much if ur a decent artisan so it won't hurt too much, and we've got a good 14days b4 we get patched
glad i'm not being immorral.
Also, i personally don't think they will be nerfed, just be made impossible to get
"If they decide this bug is serious enough to warrant a hotfix chances are that hotfix will totally screw the entire cloning process and it will stay screwed until the next publish when they have time to implement a "proper" fix."
Ouch.
Yes its wrong. Why? Because everyone knows that standard SWG practice is to just fix the system and leave all the uber stuff created before the fix to exist. The reson they do this is because it takes way too much time to do mass database updates to remove the bad critters.
So all those bugged pets you created will remain in the game for years and continue to effect the balance of the game. Which means nurfs will be levied agaist things that didnt need nurfed only to compensate for the massive abuse of an exploit.

Im also a MCH and I just refuse to train mutants. Nothing over 3500 hams and no armor. Ive probably turned away 10 people already coming to me with 7k ham anglers.
That's not the bug. that's experimentation. The bug is 10k or higher pets CL 10 or lower.
Has a DEV or Correspondant on BEHALF of a Dev actually COMMENTED on this yet?
UNTIL a DEV says it is a BUG or Exploit, then it is fine.
You are not using third party programs, hacking, scamming or anything other than actual game systems to make these pets.
UNTIL a DEV says it is a Bug or exploit, the cry babies here just need to **edit**.
The Devs have been back for 2 days now and IF this was as HUGE a problem as the cry babies say it is, it would have been at LEAST commented on by now!
