Thread: Quick question about creating high-end templates...

Hello all,
I spent a great deal of time collecting Mutant Rancor and Rancor Youth DNA...and now I'm too skeered to use it for fear of losing that hard-earned MR DNA to CL levels over 70!
If I put the DNA into the template as follows:
MR-RY-MR-RY-MR
Would I be able to experiment to my heart's content without worrying about screwing up and getting a CL over 70...or should I limit my experimentation to a point here or there?
Also, would it matter afterwards what type of "skin" I give it, or does that not affect CL at all?
Sorry if these are "newb" questions, but I've been trying to figure out the new process ever since it came out, and since this isn't really in the FAQ (though not for lack of trying, I see) I wanted to get some answers from people who may have had first-hand experience with these sample types.

I've only attempted the use of MR samples a couple of times, but I can say definitely the answer to this is a big NO! One of the biggest determining factors in CL seems to be the damage, so if you put MR in aggression, and experiment it up to the max I'd be real surprised if you didn't get close to CL 75 in the resulting creature.
Oh, and the skin will make no difference in the final CL.

What would you recommend? Given the difficulty in obtaining MR DNA (for me, at least), this is understandably something I'd not want to find out via trial and error. lol

I was able to repleatedly sample a level 72 creature from my inventory so, all is not lost if you over shoot.
