Greets,

I've compiled a breakdown of the net effect each of the new BE Food Tissues, and how to figure what you can get out of them based on percentages. Spent about 3 hours experimenting, and the numbers seem to hold up after multiple full runs with various materials. If anyone can refute or refine these values, please do so. Here's to hoping this helps both chefs and BEs for planning purposes, among others.

For simplicity, I'm only listing thecategory andstrength of the tissue, not their proper names. Note: 'Tissue' and 'Additive' are essentially the same thing for purposes of this post, since the stats automatically carry from tissue to Additive, with no experimentation available for Additives on the Chef side.

Listed for each tissue is the range for each strength category and the per percentage point progression (how much actual effect you get for the percentage effectiveness). To figure the end result, add the calculated percentage value to the lowest number in the range (ex: Medium Filling Tissue w/ 72% experimentation = end value of 22).

The numbers listed in the range are the percentage-of-base boost that the tissue will offer (ex: Light Flavor Tissue with a value of 25 will produce a +25% bonus to the final flavor-based effect at time-of-craft). Tissues will affect the base value, which may then be adjusted as per the food item's normal rates, so getting a very good initial craft is important when using tissues.

Flavor(duration): % x .2 (1pt per 5% experimentation)
Light: 10-30
Medium: 30-50
Heavy: 50-70

Nutritional Value(strength): % x .3
Light: 30-60
Medium: 60-90
Heavy: 90-120

Filling(mass): % x .1
Light: 5-15
Medium: 15-25
Heavy:25-35

Replication(uses per item): % x 1
Light: 100-200
Medium: 200-300
Heavy: 300-400

I know, all that text for a little list of numbers. Hopefully this will help people as much as it has helped myself and my guild's chef

It's a great start and thanks

Still not very clear how these numbers all fit together.

Suppose a chef assembles an item (without tissue) at filling 15 and can experiment it down to filling 10. How does the +35% bonus work? Would it reduce it to filling 6.5?

Next how does the replication bonus stack with the container bonus?

Yeah, still working on exactly when the tissues affect the totals. So far, we're working on the principle that it applies to the whole thing, but we have some people saying it only affects the initial craft result. Same theory on use of larger containers. More to follow as we get more experimentation in.

Okies, update to the research, finally...

The tissue boosts listed affect the whole process, value-wise. Basically, that means that the tissue boost is active in all calculations as you experiment, from the ground up. So if your normal food crafting range is +50-100 Mind (random example), and you add a 50% Nutrition-boosting additive, your new range is +75-150 Mind.

Also, for replication tissues that increase the uses per item, the calculation is applied after the container size mod is...so if you use a Large Glass to make the drink, then add the replication tissue, it applies the glass mod first, then applies the tissue mod to that new value.

On a side note...some foods do not have Flavor as an experimentation option, so if you try to use a flavor additive, nothing will happen. These are mainly the foods that do instant heals or have non-timed/instant effects.

Hope this helps
