Now if some genius ever pulled it off... well that would be another matter entirely. You seariously don't think we're worried about this do you?"

here is EXACTLY how to do it:

make a pet

sample the pet while it's still in your inventory

make another pet from those samples

As a MBE you only get 10 experiment points. Even with all Great Successes that is not going to be enough to bring all the attributes up to the potential maximum. Assuming your target pet had a potential max of 500 across the board. That means each stat would have an initial value of 325. That means your starting 1750 points below max. Since each experiment only average 140 point, after 10 experiments you will still be 350 points below where you started. That assumes no failures and no points lost through reaching max in one stat while still experimenting another. In other words you can expect each generation to be weaker than the one before it.

So what then is the point of generational pets? The basic point is to get the CL of the creature to drop faster than the stats you care about. For instance you start with various good CL 20-30DNA with 8K HAM good resists, good damage, good special, and create a CL10 pet tankwith 6K Health, 4K Action, 2K Mind, good kinetic resist, some nice special attacks and very low damage. You could also start with CL50 DNA and get a 10K HAM, light armored CL35 pet with across the board good resists, specials and decent damage. Make two of them and sell them as a pair to a MCH.

generally to improve the stats you add in some of the orginial DNA - eg for a CL 10 pet you might have started with CL30, CL2, CL2, CL30, CL2, you max that out to get a CL12 ish pet resmaple it with maybe CL30, 1st Gen, 1st Gen, 1st Gen, CL2, to make a decent CL 10 or if it over shoots to 11 you might try, CL30, 2nd GEn, 2ndGen, cl2, 2nd gen or something along those lines, so you lower the damage, speed and to hit whilst raising the HAM
