Thread: Fragile Merek Harvesters?

Just a followup on something that someone said about testing on TC-Bria - that the MH's there died after one poke with the needle.


MY MH's on liveALWAYS die after one poke, maybe two. It is very annoying. I'm a master BE and I have +25 mask scent and +1 luck (ok I know that probably does NOTHING to BE but it SHOULD). Is this NORMAL for MH's or is it only me. And if it is just me, what do you do to get more DNA out of the little beasties?

My best was 12 samples from a single MH. It seems that the ones I experience poofing after 1-2 samples are the ones with the better stats. Maybe they're on steroids?

I've never actually kept track, but it seems that the ones at the static spawn go poof quicker than "wild" ones. Of course, I have no real evidence to support this.

The MH I sampled on TC-Ep3 were in the desert - I generally get all my MH samples here on Live as well (as long as the Gorax or stoneskinned hanadak doesn't get me) and can come away on Live with anywhere from 1 to 5 samples per MH.


I expected it to be more difficult to sample on TC-Ep3 but it seemed about the same. I seem to have a higher failure rate on TC-Ep3 compared to Live and mainly on the yard trash.


The inspiration buff may bea difference here as that has to take the place of my beer and mask clothes although I found that my mask did not break as often on TC-Ep3, even on Dath.

I go through groups of MH that are all weaklings. Big bad bug keels over from one little needle stick. Then there are times where I get a bunch in a row that give 5+ out of them before they keel over. Of course then there's the ones that triple incap me without getting a single sample. Those are the most annoying ones in my book.

Well, I notice that the MH at the static spawn have, overall, much higher HAM than the wild ones. That's why I always stop by before leaving Endor. 13k Health.. Now that's what I'm talking about baby.

Oh, and the static spawn MH's tend to die after a single sample. The wild ones vary between 2 to 8 samples. I may have gotten more before.
