Converting pets for the CU and after should be a monumental task, and that is an understatement! What kind of scale willbe used? Will certain thresholds be preserved: non-CH, twins and triplets would be a start. Will resists even be a factor in this new level-determines-damage-multipliers? I mean, blast and stun resists haven't even been removedin the CU dna samples,toHit is apperently not a factor at 0.0, etc.For instance, energy resist was virtually left out of non-CH BEpets asmost folks don't use them as tanks against ranged NPC's; but post CU, it seems there will be a shift to more ranged professions. It may be time tocraft pets with more energy resistsshould youdare to PvP the ranged with CH.
Recently, Icame across adeeded CL 10 kaadu that I made many, manymonths ago. It's rather sub-par with 3K/500/1.2K HAM; ranged strong poison/intimidation; 15kin & 12energy resists;it shouldbe more useful after the CU if the non-CH CL of 10 is preserved. But who knows, I'm anxiously skeptical if the devs will follow "the best weapon pre-CU, will be the best weapon post-CU" philosophy because we all know how well that is going
disclaimer: pet usage/effectivess is highly situational, so "best pet" is somewhat of a non-answer.

I've not tested it myself, as I was on vacation for a while. I did read some notes in the CH forum about weird pet conversions however. One thread said if you adjust the stats to match the CL the stats actually increased making the animal better. They took another animal similar to the first one and adjusted the CL to match the stats the animal already had. The CL went off the scale making the animal unusable. The unusable animal is weaker than the first animal.
They have two weeks to fix all the wackiness nearly every profession is seeing. Am I the only person that is a little bit worried?
Oh, I forgot. The CURB won't be finished when it goes live. The fixes will be done sometime in the future. That gives the developers all the time in the world to balance the game.
