Hello.
Just received word from CSR that we are no longer able to sample DNA from a pet deed that we have made. We are only allowed to sample from creatures in the wild.
I don't know if this is already known, so FYI.
And I never heard anything about this changing.

hmm... well, at least you can't kill your pets in one dna sample anymore.

I just tried on tc-ahazi (one of the latest tc servers) and it still works.

I'd chalk it up to another CSR that doesn't know the pet crafting system.

A little BE noob question: To get the DNA for the next generation, do you sample from the pet _deeds_ or from pets called after _using_ the deed?

Eskie,
From the pet deed - once you tame it nobody could sample it, otherwise there'd beBE's hanging around starports needles at the ready to sample unsuspecting CH's pets
I tried sampling a pet deed on live tonight and it was ok for me (22-4-2005 10:00 pm GMT).

Good point
Do you need mask scent for aggro deeds? J/k

CSR probably thought people were sampling tamed pets... Which, of course, you cannot do.

Today I tried again to sample from a deed and it worked, so I dont know what is going on. I am unable to follow up with this CSR-Mike. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get straight answer from these CSR people?
Thanks.

You mostly likely never will. You know far more about the game then most of them do if you have played more then a month.
