Thread: Reasonable question about tissues and XP
Hi guys.
If i let my factory produce for example 50 constrictor cloth and then i give them to a tailor, Will I get XP when he uses them in a dress?
What will happen if he will use them as ingradients in another factory? Will i get those points as well?
Thanks for help
Based on the subject line, I figured I would be the best to answer this one.
Based on my testing, we get no exp from factory made BE items. Someone else also found we get no usage exp either. Love to ask the Devs if this is intentional, but they aren't reading the forums or responding to PM anymore.
But in trying this I have also noticed that I have not gotten any extra usage XP for people using my products.

factories do not give any BE xp for the stims or tissue you produce. dont know if thats intentional or not but i tested it immediately after the patch with stims and tissue and wasnt suprised to find i got nothing from them even when i sat next to the factory.
No artisan/medic class gets XP for factory produced items. I've done extensice testing with medic/be/ws/artisan/architect. I know someone else who has done the testing for doctor/de/smuggler/chef. Neitherof has ever gotten UXP for a factory made item. Please note that when Isay this I have gotten UXP for a weapon which I hand-crafted out of factory sub-components. However as far as I could tellI only got the UXP for the resources which went directly into the weapon, not into the sub-components. As far as I can tell I do not get UXP for pet stims period. (I hand out a lot of hand-crafted ones to guild mates, my BEXP has never gone up and I keep track of that number like a hawk)

Do you mean no USAGE exp or no exp at all? Because way back when I was an artisan I did get exp from factory made stuff, but don't know about usage exp.
If you make the tissues without using a factory, and the tailor uses them afterwards without using a factory you get exp and usage exp (not sure of the amount for every tissues, but it's 150 for constrictor cloth).
If you use a factory, you get no exp. If the tailor uses a factory you won't get any uexp either. But I have no clue of whether you will get uexp or not if the tailor doesn't use a factory afterwards, I would assume that you would but I can't confirm it.
I mean no XP. Originally you got 100% XP for making things in a factory. Then they nerfed it so you were only supposed to get 10% for making things in a factory. However that nerf seemed to actuallydrop itto 0%. My WS would have been a Master a long timeago if I got the 10% for factory runs. Given he has2 factories and I try to keep them running all the time, I should have gotten huge XP from them. As it is I get none. I've tried just about every range from the factory, having a declared residence, not having a declared residence, sittingin a camp, not sitting in a camp. I've checked when the first item is made, when the last item is made, when the last item destroys the schematic, when the last item doesn't destroy the schematic. To date I have never gotten XP from doing factory runs. Heck I'm not even sure I've ever gotten usage XP. (For hand crafted items that is)
