As much as I look forward to the cloning overhaul, my biggest problem making money with clones is that it seems all our good ones are untamable. Devs, if you would just hotfix these BEs would be somewhat viable, and I could hold out a good month or two before the overhaul so you would have plenty of time to make sure it works. If you could hotfix clone experimentation too I could wait a real long time.

In my personal opinion, no.

The main reason is, a good percentage of the "untamable" BE clones are the ones they DON'T want to be in the game.

Kimo (too powerful), Fambaa (too big, and probably also too powerful). I'll admit some of the others wouldn't be any real big issue, but even if they fixed Snorbal and some of the others in our gaping hole between 26-50, the main issue remains, our BE pets just basically suck compared to the choice out in the wild.

While the Coward Gurreck, I believe is highlyoverated as the best non CH pet title, that Beetle certainly isn't, and is in almost every possible way a better pet than the Kahmurra. I have one of the Rock Beetles, and not only can it keep up better in hilly terrain than a Kahmurra, it's armor will let it live longer, and it has a ranged attack (it's trickslook a whole lot better as well). The Kusak is an EXCELLENT pet, but it's just outside of non CH range, and yet not a beefed up version for level 20-25 use. Bolma is pathetic (in my opinion) for a level 25 pet, I personally am using Mutated Kahmurra, and while some may think a GSP or Grand Wrix is better, the Mutated Kahmurra has plenty of strong points as well. We then hit that wide open gap to our two "decent" high end pets, the Gurreck and the Rancor, and to be honest, most all of the high end CH's use some combination of Grauls at that stage or a wide varieghty of "special" pets, useful for thier attacks, or speed, or whatever. The Gurreck is still a very strong competitor at this level, but since he's been nerfed back to light armor, he just isn't what he used to be.

If we get what we were promised in the dev "Vision" we will be able to create worthy pets. If we don't, we have no future as pet sellers, there are just to many better options available.

All CH's mainly use CH pets cause they are better

The best non CH pet is the Mountain Krevol, 2200 ham, armor and hits for 160.

In CH, I am 3-3-0-4. I can use 2 pets at once. I can used 45 pet levels. I mainly use:

A Mite, 6k ham, CL 23, armor, hits for 260

Grand Wrix, 6500 ham, CL 22, armor, hits for 220

BE has nothing that would even remotely come close to those, bugged or not, for 45 pet levels. If I were confined to BE pets and I only consider armored pets cause I can not afford the pet stims required on second level planets for pets that do not have armor... I would use:

Kusak, 3500 ham, hit for 200, armor. x 2 CL 16

THe Kusak can handle about anything, but the ham is low and hit for 200 does not compare well with the 260 the mite hits for. I also have:

Kliknik, 7500 ham, hit for 240, armor, CL 24

Gaping Spider, 8500 ham, damage 220, armor, fast on hills, CL 24

Since the others are over 23, I have to use them with a Kusak.

The following pets that are considered great, but are really worthless on secondary planets include:

Cowardly Gurreck

Greater Sludge Panther

Razor cat

Angler

Bolma

Dewback

Torton

Remember, the lowest CL pet is the one that takes the hits. A Kusak can take the hits, a Sludge panther will cost you a fortune keeping him alive. So if you have a GSP and you group with a guy that has a Rancor, he does the hitting and you do the healing.

Go to Dath and look and see what pets are being used. Armored pets that have over 3500 ham that can be used by a CL 25 CH are a dime a dozen. I could tame 5 a day on any secondary planet, you pick which one.

I tamed 4 Mountain Krevols in 30 minutes last night from the time I hopped on the space ship till I was done. These are the best non CH pet in the game.

Its no big deal though, we have more stuff to sell than we could possibly stay on top of. And our Rancors and Gurrecks are the best. The Kusak is easily the best exp pet inthe game for CH's. When running 2 of them, you can get like 60 exp killing a Chuba, yet they can kill Rancors.

I also have to say no.

I would rather see then take time and fix it right than slap a hotfix out there and take care of the existing pets. Even if that hotfix meant more pets.

What the Devs presented as the possible changes to clone is a complet re-do of the system. I for one would rather wait and see that happen in a month or two, than deal with the possibility that we would get more problems loaded onto of existing problems.

All the reaons stated in the previous posts are valid as well.

There are thousands of creatures in the game and there is evidence that they are going through it methodically. It was not done right the first time and then they released the game. Now they have more issues to deal with because of the release that was too early and hacking and exploits. I noticed on the main board there was 9 pages of posts so far today. No one reads all those posts.

There is no one accumulating our issues. But we have more stuff to sell than we can keep up with and in my opinion we could cut the tissues out completely and give methe ability to make sub components for stims the best and I would be happy if the rest worked.

Has anyone ever sold a tissue to a Chef? Are there any?

Well I know personally my sales would double at least-I don't know how well the rest of you are known on your servers.

Ppl send me a tell 'what do you have that's good for my lvl?' and so many times I have to respond 'Well, the best thing I could make you won't work. I can give you this second best option.' Sometimes, the ppl like what I offer them and buy it, mostly not. My biggest sales remain the Kahmurra, Rancor, and Kimo.

As far as the Kimo goes for being overpowered, Kimo isnt bugged it's CL is higher than anyone ever could get. So that's not an issue.
