Thread: What size stacks are you willing to buy?

Hey all, i'm a Master ranger on the eclipse server. I'm always out hunting and trying to find the best resources. Only prob is, some people i talk to want stacks of 10k+ while others accept stacks as little as 1k. My question is, what does the majority of the BE community like their stacks to be?

Thanks in advanced!

I require stacks of 3k.

Reasoning:

Any 1 resource requirement for a tissue maxes out at 25. I try to make factory runs of 100 or more. So 25 * 100 = 2500 + 500 for experimentation should I need it.

That sounds good. Definatley a resonable amount. There have been times when i had stacks of over 25k, but that was during my leviling stage. Usually when i go out to hunt now, i will get stacks of around 3k-10k. Since i work 6 days a week, i don't have the time to sit there and hunt 24/7. Plus, if i was out trying to get stacks of 10k+ all the time, thats all i would be doing when i log on. I like to hunt, but i also like to explore and check out all the other aspects of the game. Just hope most of the crafters are like that as well.

If the resource is still in existence to hire people to get more, then I'll take whatever size stack at the price I think is fair. If not, then I typically won't buy unless it was more like 5k or so.

Wish you were on Intrepid... I'm willing to buy stacks of 100k on harvested resources hehe.

I still pick up large stacks if someone needs it. I just prefer picking up a quick 5k or so and selling them off. Seems like all i been doing latley is hunting, so i figure if the community will buy stacks smaller then what i usually get (10k+) then im happy with that as well.

If anybody does need anything though, just send me an e-mail. I hunt with a few people so i can pass the word on.

Yeah, but you're uber Sumo

To the OP, I think most of it depends on whether or not the BE runs a shop or not. Sumo must do, to use that sort of quantity. I don't, so to me stacks of 3 or 5k are plenty for personal use and extras for a friend here and there. I just need enough to make a few crates of petstims and make sure my wife the tailor has enough tissues for her business - she's the money maker, lol.

I don't know how general this next statement is, but for a low volume user like me high quality is very important. I would suspect that a high volume BE merchanter is more likely to compromise on quality for volume (not saying they'd use rubbish, but having necessary stats above 800 is likely not vital). So work both markets - offer the lower quality in bulk and the higher quality in smaller amounts at a bit higher rate. (Don't ask me what rate tho - its server specific forthe large part and I've got short arms and deep pockets, so I never pay much )

The size I'll buy?

It really depends. I use tons of creature resources for a lot of different things, each having slightly different uses and requirements. In general, stacks of 500+ is a buy for me if it's reasonably priced.

1) Tailoring (low quality hides). Generally stacks of 2k+

2) Tissues (middle to high quality bone and meat). Stacks of 500+

3) Creatures (very high quality meat). Stacks of 200+

4) Ranger/Scout Equipment (low quality bone, hide). Stacks of 500+

Thats sounds good. I usually have smaller stacks of around 5k, but i make sure the quality is the best i can find. The larger stacks i carry tend to be not as high quality as the smaller stacks. Sometimes i get a large stack of good quality, but for the most part i will sell smaller stacks at top quality. I can easily pick up 5k in one night of good stuff.

But if somebody expect stacks of around 50k stacks, then it's gonna take some time. One guy i was working for expected stacks of 25k+ every day/other day. That means i basically came on, did nothing but hunt and harvest for the entire day/night, and then get off. I like to hunt, but i like to enjoy other parts of the game as well. Thats why id rather get smaller stacks of around 5k, but top quality. I can get that quickly and still have time to do other things.

I do what i can

Oh, after reading some of the replies, and re-reading the question, my assumption was that you were asking "what is the minimum stack size you'll buy".

If your question is: "what is the ideal stack size". For me it would be around 1000k, lol. I just simply tell people who bring me meat/hide/bone that I'll buy any and all they bring me, but I occasionally turn my nose up at tiny stacks of less than 500 depending on what the resource is (see my above message).

Hey all, i just asked the same question to the BE's. I'm just trying to figure out what is a good size stack of resources i can sell to the community without it being to little. I'm a Master Ranger on the eclipse server.

I usually get stacks of around 2-7k. Some people expect stacks of more then 10k, while others buy stacks of as little as 1k, or 500 units as long as it is good quality. I have always been a quality over quanity person, so i usually dont get stacks larger then 5k, but its most always the top quality i can find.

Well, just wondring what the doc's need, thanks in advanced!
