i heard that it would be possible with the new patch that be's could make bio engineered pets thathavelower max level. is that right ?

when yes, how far is that possible ? only in a very tight room ? make a cl 18 out of a cl 20 with lowered stats of course ? or even greater ? make a lvl 20 out of lvl 50 with heavily reduced ham and damage ? will they be made in the process that way or is there a "stopping" button to press where it should stop ?

thx for the answers

ah, ok... thats what i have understood. the new be after the patch could make creatures from level 2-70 and could massively controll the target size (cl) of the creature (with some exzeptions to special creatures like rancor, kimo ect) and then pack it into the body of a creature.

for example when someone would like to have a gurrek that looks like a gurrek he could fumble around with the bio data before "pressing" it into the body and could make it a maxlevel level 20 gurrek with stats like it would be level 20 not more and therefore could be controlled by someone who could controll level 20 creature. right ?

The devs specify that a master BE can lower the CL rating without effecting the stats apparently. Dunno how that works myself and I only half beleive that it's possible

Its all very confusing right now. This may have something to do with the statement they made about us making a level 30 creature with level 35 stats? Technically we didn't lower the level in this example, it just didn't go up when we made the stats higher with experimentation.

Its most likely the use of lower level DNA. But then its not the same creature anymore. So technically I'm not lowering a Rancors level, I'm just putting the Rancor "look" on a Fambaa?

I think what people are hoping for is the exact same stats of a level 50 Rancor, but it just magically being level 40. That's not going to happen I'm sure.

All up in the air until test server is fix. Just guessing for now.

....holy cow.

ok, first of all about 50% of the posts on the first page are about the new BE changes. sorry, had to be said.

to answer your question: the creature type is only a "body" for the DNA template under the new system. in other words: stats, includingCL, aredefined (roughly) before the body is selected. in essence, any BE creature, new or old, can be made anywhere fromthe very bottom of the scale (CL2 might be the absolute lowest a master can hit, but we dont know yet)to CL 70 or higher (we were told that it is possible to make a creature too powerful to ever be handled). the only limits on the CL range are placed on specific clone bodys. they have minimum CL's to prevent some of the cooler and tougher looking creatures (kimo, rancor and probably graul, merek, kliknikect.. most likely not gurreck cause of its low-lvl cousin, wrix). we dont know how high the min CL is on any of the limited creatures yet.
