Thread: Do not be scammed buy milk scammers
Yes,
A player attempted to sell me milk, sounded good at 50 units for 25k. When the deal was viewed it was 50 individual items named "milk". Since I have seen it, I knew what was going on.
Milk stacks just like any other resource, it has stats veiwable in the trade window like any other resource.
do not be fooled
Sckoarn ;(

LOL...and one looked like a CDEF pistol and one looked like a bofa treat and one looked like a general crafting kit...
That wasa dumb scammer. But thank you for the warning.
It's sad...I always look at the "Variation of" thing in the item's description before buying it. The only weirdness is that "variation of" doesn't show up if the crafter didn't change the item's name. So you have to remember that not seeing it at all means the guy is honest.
I've never actually had anyone try to scam me. Sometimes they like to put their name on the item (VibroLance by uberd00d), but the item has always been exactly what they claimed it to be. Here's hoping your experience was rare.

God my spelling is bad, Of course buy all the milk scammers you can find. ![]()
Sckoarn ;(
Good job warning the less experienced, honestly. The bartender-bought (and useless for crafting) milk might confuse people who've never seen the real resource (and it's rare enough there are a LOT of BEs and Chefs out there who probably haven't).

The one exception is if it is a crate of something. Then, the name is gone.
I've seen this concealment tactic used before. I saw a crate of "Rodian Testicles" on the bazaar. I knew that such an item didn't exist in the game, but there was no "variation of" in the description. I could see it was some kind of food, because it had values showing what stat mods it did. I decided to buy it, if for no other reason, so that some kid didn't see it, and ask his mom what they were. It turned out to actually be blob candy.
