Thread: What are the point of the untamable creatures we can create?
Its not always a bug. Kimogila is untamable because its CL is higher then even a Wookie Master CH can tame
Yeah exactly, and back in beta you didn't have level caps per say and there was actually people with Krayt dragon babies. The point is they updated the CH and didnt bother to update the bio-engineer.
This has probably been discussed thousands of times, but I've searched through and can't find anything.
Is their only use furniture and DNA samples? And it keeps being referred to as bugged - is it a bug or has it been done on purpose?
Ewww... sorry for the very noooooobie question ![]()
Its not always a bug.

Developer posts have revealed that the Blurgg is untamable on purpose because it is an unbalanced clone, although I am not sure why it is unbalanced unless its because it is a level 50 creature craftable with only Clone Engineering I

What do wookie master CH's get for taming? Like 60? Has anyone tried to gather enough +taming skill tapes (if they exist), in order to tame a BE'd Kimogila?
Kimogila is CL90. A CH would need both the Max Creature Level (Single/Taming) at 90 and Max Level of Creatures (group/Training) to be at 90. The wookie bonus only applies to Max Creature Level(Single/Taming). Also I believe the wookie bonus goes away in the new patch (Wookies apparently needed a nerf because the don't get armor). I don't believe there are any Max Level of Creature (group/Training) bonuses out there. If there aren't it cannot be done.
I'm not sure that we know that they are 90. I think that they have been several different things since launch, ranging from CL60 to CL150.
Actually, the wookiee bonus doesn't apply to the max Creture Level, but to the +vicious taming modifier. A human 2/2/0/0 CH has enough creature levels to handle a GM, they just don't have the +vicious taming needed. The tissues that we make give the same kind of mod. So, there is no way to handle a kimogila, as you said.

A wookie master would have a taiming value of 70 like any master and an additonal bonus of +10, for a total of 80.
That is if the wookie bonus is still +10.
Notice how at the Master Level of Creature handler, the Viscous and regular Creature Taiming values become the same number.

To clarify - if you have any questions on why the cloning system works the way it does, the answer is: It's a bug.
The game went live before the known bugs were fixed. Then CH's were re-vamped without considering impact on BE. 6 months after going live, the problems might be corrected this month. Althought the current release strategy is to do no internal testing prior to releasing to the test server, so the initial patch will obviously be very broken and require re-writing, as we have seen already.
On the negative side, we are paying montlhy for a game that wasn't finished. On the plus side, as long as these guys are writing code for games, they AREN'T writing code for life support systems or the air traffic control system.
