Is there anywhere in particular on Endor that these things spawn "easier", or is it a crapshoot when driving around on your speeder? I'm not particularly interested in camping spawns for babies (although if I saw one I would pounce on it), but I DO want to get DNA samples from these things and so far I've only seen one spawn.

Any help?

You are kidding right? These things are all over the place! Death Heads and Harvesters often spawn at the same lairs, and those 2 make some really fun clones. I would be suprised if you could go 1k and not find a lair or two. They are VERY common.

They spawn from the same lairs as harvesters? I didn't know that.

The one time I saw them they had a lair all to themselves, thus leading me to the conclusion that they had their own spawns.

Are they more numerous around the Smuggler's Outpost? I've been all around there and really haven't stumbled across as many lairs (harvester) as you suggest...

I usually kind of do circles around the smugglers outpost. maybe 500m then 1km then 1.5km etc. I'd say about 50%-75% of my trips I've come across these things there doing this type of search.

Thanks, you two. I'll give this a try my next time out.

Think I'd be able to combine two of their samples with 3 mutant rancors without going over the 70 limit? hehe

Definitely, the real question is how much you experiment, and what slots you put the dna in

Well I was thinking of MR for the three slots affecting HAM (mental, etc) and DH for the other two. What would you recommend?

The problem with MDH is all their resists are effectiveness, not special resists. The way the final resists are calculated doesn't average sr and eff. together, but where the resist type has one of each, the effectiveness counts as 0

take kinetic resist as an example (commonly a special resist)

if you have the 5 samples with 20 eff in all of them, the final resist will be 20, or with 20 sr in each, it'll be 20 also.

However, if you have a mix, like 3 sr and 2 eff, the game will average these as though the 2 samples with kinetic as an effectiveness will treat them as 0, so you'll get (20+20+20+0+0)/5 = 12 (It's not as simple as that, as it's a weighted average with some slots contributing more than others, but you get the picture)

So despite having good ham, light armour and no vulnerabilities, the MDH may bring down your resists more than you'd like
