I think there should be two options on how big a cloned creature can get. Basically if you have reached a certain skill you should have to clone 'dwarf' creatures.

Why should i want to do that you might ask?

Well some ppl like me would just like a pet for the pets sake.
I would like to have a dog sized dewback.

Those 'dwarf' creatures could have there stats and lvl halfed (so that non ch could use them). This could open up a new market for the bioengineer, because he has creatures available noone else can tame.

btw. i am no bio engineer

Yeah, i think we should be able to stunt their growth as well. People find the baby Bantha cute but they lose their appeal when fully grown.

Yeah that's exactly what i mean Tal-N. I like those swarming dewbacks, but i don't want to have a skyscraper pet.

I would love to see Bio engineers be able to change the over all size of pets or atleast make them smaller. I know we don't need bigger pets ATM

I am working my way to Master Creature Handler as well but so far i will only use pets smaller than me or close to that size. I think it would be cool for a Bio Engineer to be able to make Miniture versions of creatures.

They already have different size variations for the creatures as they grow so why not be able to stop there growth at a certain point.

Apart from all the hub-bub about CH bugs and inadequacies, I would like to delve into an area of CH mentioned in the SWG manual that I just don't observe happening. I recall reading the manual stated that with enough care and feeding the pet can grow larger that its' natural counterpart. The operative word is "can" but I see no evidence of this. I recently qual 2,2,2,2 in CH and will grind double the XP to train it and have been at CH for several weeks. I feed my pets, I take them for walks, I profess my love to them (/love), I hug my pets (/hug), I reassure them in battle (/reassure), I kiss my pets gently on the lips (/kiss [yuck]), I pet them (/pet), I play with them and watch as they perform tricks to heal their mind, I do practically everything possible to get my pet larger than its' natural counterpart but nothing works.

One can only feed a pet when it is hungry so no fat pets here, I am only lvl 2 Org Chem so no BE here yet, and I don't see evidence of pet growth beyond the in-game lvl and that of its' natural counterpart. Thus, if I wanted to tame and train a Mountain Squill (will wait for lvl 3 CH unless lvl 2 quals), grow it up with enough care and feeding as the manual states, and use it in its' larger form to help me whack on squills, I can't.

There should most definitely be a means of performing this per the SWG manual. Now this is not a rant over bugs. I am sure the Devs know the issues and will be doing their best to sort them out as well as add new items. I am simply disaapointed in features that ought to be in the game but are not. Now this should not mean a Mountain Squill, for example, grows 2-3 times larger and more powerful than its' natural counterpart. However, I expect to see a notch or twoon the max lvl increase before the pet reaches full size.

For BEs, it would be great to be able to BE the pet larger by a few more notches yet the system recognizes a lvl 10 original that has been BE as a non-CH pet so it can then be sold. I would also like to see an increase in the number of petslwr lvl CHs can pull out ifnot to increase the scenery then to increase the xp in combat.

I like what the Devs have done thus far although the disappearing act these pets can do (I don't remember training that) and their at times, depending on species, sheepish fear to fight when told getting them a hearty slap across the face, a scold, a beat down, whatever is quite distracting.

One more item. NPC and tamed pets tend to run off which is a good thing except the tamed pets will at times whig out and run away out of sight and half way across the planet. I would prefer if my pet ran to me so I can blast the dang nabit thing taking its' HAM down. Ifmy pet wants to chase an NPC across the planet, then fine just expect a slap across the face when it gets back. Having them run toward their trainer when the HAM is low will keep the hunting group's cohesion together so we can focus on completing the mission and not have half the group chasing down a target led away by my scared pet.

I am going to have patience with CH since Master Marksman, Novice Carbineer isn't exactly the take down aNPC in a few shots profession and a tanking pet is always welcome fodder.

My personnal experience with online game manual : never trust them, it only helps for the keyboard binding and the very basic knowledge such as gender and race.

Edit : I also bet that the manual was written a long time before the professions skills and abilties beta test.
