Thread: Almost Master...Need a vendor though..
Oh ?
How many Skill points does it take EXACTLY to get a Vendor ?
I saw in another post that in order to get an vendor you need to get buisness III but once you place the vendor you can drop artisan and still keep your vendor. Im gonna try it out next before moving on with my BE skills so pretty soon ill have the answer if its true or not.
I guess it takes 15+2+3+4=24 SP to get a vendor.
Yes you can but that is an exploit. They're not punishing for it as it's their own fault as far as I'm aware, but isn't it next publish that vendors will be very minimal in Artisan and you only get much space by having Merchant levels? You can count on not having that "gain a vendor then drop artisan and keep using it" for much longer.

As long as i can keep... oh maybe 100-150 items in a vendor im satisfied.
I dunno why they insist on fluff professions like this. Why not allow ANYONE to have a vendor and if they insist on keeping merchant in at least let a regular person advertise on the map but for a much higher fee.
You mean to tell me all this time I have been dumping my pets in the Bazaar for 3000 , when I could have ground Business III - dumped it - kept vendor ..... and now that I have this knowledge - they are gonna yank it?
Shoots----------> self in head
The system Aneilym described is EXACTLY the way the "fluff" class of Merchant is supposed to work. Interdependency folks. And it works quite well. Network already geez.

Or how about two different maint. pool. A rent pool and a maint. pool. The merchant sets the rent rate/Hr and you have to pay both rent and maint. in order to keep the vendor alive.
Damn i would love that.
