I am a master chef and would like to ask the MBE out there a question. Why is it so hard to or "wrong" to make a chef a schematic for?

If I provide the resources andI am willing to pay you a modest fee say 50-100k for the 10 minutesit takes you tobuild and experiment on the schematic, how could that not be a good thing? I am not asking you to provide your resources, or use your lots, power and money to run a factory.

I tell ya if i had the skill points I would gain MBE and spam in coronet or theed building chef schematics, you provide the resources, I provide the schematic....with a fee of (you fill in). Folks, 10 schematics later you have a million bucks...

Maybe you could do this prior to going to get DNA? I dont know if this is possible because i dont know your time demand for making pets. just a suggestion

Im just trying to get some information about this, because it is so hard to find MBE that is willing to make schematics at all. I understand that most do not want to gather all the resources, but i would imagine a few chefs are VERY willing to provide the resources.

Thanks for the help,

Jmpmstr,

I'll tell you what, you provide me with the schematics necessary to make 1000 brandy's and I'll give you a schematic to make 1000 bio nutrient supplements.

Ever ask a Master Armorsmith to make a set of schematics to his best armor? Then watch him /addignore? Same deal with Tissues, if to a lesser degree.

It's called giving away your business, and although it's entirely personal pref, it doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint. Imagine if Pepsi posted the exact chemical formula for their products on a public site...the company would fall apart inside of a year due to clones leeching the revenue away. Not saying it needs to be a miserly hoarding of information, but letting everyone who wants to make a specialized item do so can mangle an economy.

You say that selling schematics would garner you a million creds inside an hour? I can make 3 million or more just by selling the end product. And it sells like mad. Stick to buying tissue, just like everyone else...or develop a relation with a friendly BE for support. ArthurDent hit the nail on the head with his comment, btw...would you be willing to trade away one of your best products?

Interestingly a BE posted on the chef boards - "yeah, sure I can give away chef schematics free, I just sold a kimo for a million creds"

Wonder how many Kimos he'd sell if BEs start giving away Kimos

I don't see what the issue is. If the person comes to you with the resources, instructions with what ingredients go where (to aviod overlapping and running out of resources), you should do it, free or for a small fee if you choose

Resources are the only problem. It takes forever for my Ranger character to get meat. Yeah sure, you see posts on the Ranger foums "50k bones in 2 hours", yet that's Dathomirian Bones from Rancors, one of the biggest dropping creatures in the game that's soloable. And it's not really worth the time if the resources are crap quality, which most of the time it is, seeing as it has the rest of the galaxy to contend with. That's one creature on one planet. Let alone the 100's of other creatures out there.

I don't charge for a schematic, I charge for a finished product. Why charge for something you put very little investment in anyways? Yeah sure skill points whatever, yet I use my skill points for a finished product, in which there's actual value.

So long as it's not the same profession, and they're underselling you and ruining your business, then I don't see the problem.

Sorry about those first two. I am at work shhh
I think the point was missed. First, I was simply looking for a MBE that is willing to make a schematic (on Scylla) for chef additives

1. IF i provide the needed resources
2. IF i payed him for the SKILLS he has to allow for a very nice experimentation

I feel this is not giving away anything from what i can figure. Arthur, if you are willing to come up will all the resources needed to make brandy the schematics is yours (if i was on bria).....you will need the following:

-150K crystalline Gemstone and 2000 trim for 1000 cask (1 of 2 brandy sub components) 3 factory runs, one by chef, two by tailor
-20k cereal for alcohol (2 identical per brandy, 2 of 2 bandy sub components) 2 factory runs by chef
-20k really good fruit and berries (final build schematic) 1 factory run by chef

I would expect the same payment back for per schematic though... will say 50K.
Now lets sum this up. I find a MBE who will build a BE additive schematic. I provide the resources, he/she experiments the item with at least all great succes and I pay him 50k for his/her time. Then the same BE gathers all the necessary resources, I provide the 3 schematics (maybe 4 if he provides a additive) that BE pays me for my skills for each schematic 150-200K. Isnt that fair?????

I hope that it can be seen that I would not be taking away business from a BE buy him/her providing a schematic selling business. I think the time ratio to income is pretty substantial. 10 minutes max to make a good schematic for 50K at no loss to the BE.

Any way, thanks to all of those who have contacted me by email. I have found those MBE who think this is great idea too

Jmpmstr,

That is a fair deal. Now all I gotta do is find a chef on bria to give me that deal, lol. collecting those materials is nothing to me, hell, I've got that lying around collecting dust all except the gemstone which is dirt cheap, and we BE's have the same factories as you guys so running them is no big deal. And for a 1k use schematic that costs ony half as much as a single crate of your chef stuff is an absolute highway robbery imho. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

lets just pretend that i sold you a schematic for a BE additive that would double the value of your brandies, for even 200k. you turn around, make 20 crates of those brandies, sell them for 200k each (it happens) and look at that, you just made a **edit**load of money off of me because i was stupid. now if one BE additive doubles the value (and it does) then i should be asking somewhere around half the increase in price you receive. so basically, take the amount you make off of 999 brandies with a BE component and subtract from that how much you make off of 999 brandies without that component, now divide by 2 and fork it over.

theres no reason we should allow "get rich quick" schemers to make untold fortunes off of us simply because they can. if you want to make lots of money, then GRIND BE YOURSELF. then you could make yourself all the components you want and would be earning money off of YOUR OWN WORK.

LOL, you just cant see it ...

1. make the BE additive schematic for me (i provide resources)

2. make a BE additive schematic for yourself (you provide the resources)

3. i make all necessary chef schematics for you ( you provide the resources)

4. i make enhanced foods....you make enhanced foods. we all make money

If you want to make vesarian brandy in replacement of fishak...fine join some of the other chefs doing the same...i plan making other foods that will kick as with enhancements...like say Thakitillo +30-50 knockdown defense for 9-18 minutes, filling of 33-45 minutes with one use and NO Heavy BE additive yet. There are many othe foods and drinks that go from mediocre to very nice with BE additives.

ah well, its been fun see ya around the forums.

Hehe, well, you've got the motivation wrong though. I can already make money. The motivation would be to aquire a lifetime supply of this excellent stuff for myself, my alt, and friends.

You're ok jmpstr, even though you're a chef, I don't care what they say
